Congrats on buying your SP, Love the paint job, So STUNNING. First SP I have seen in that colour and with black wheels.
Yeah, it's pretty much the reason I went for it. Love this paint job and I have a thing about black wheels as well. I was very close to buying some for my 09 but no need now......would have been cheaper mind!!!
It’s definitely worth a call to confirm that registration will be in Jan 2019 - as you say it makes no difference now but come selling it in years to come it’s a factor that will influence the price. All that aside I’m green with envy
Yes there's no ABS issues with the bosch system. My blade is from Hunts..... They didn't register it until the day it was delivered even though I did the deal 4 or 5 weeks earlier. So I suspect yours will be registered as late as possible too.
Hey Paulo, push them for an HRC tank pad/protector - unless you've already screwed the last penny out of them!!
Great shout, I'll call in during the week and try and snaffle one!! Although I did already get a super trick Hunts umbrella (I say trick, it's just got release button to open it and what looks like a carbon shaft) and free VIP passes to British Superbikes at Oulton Park!! John the owner of Hunts is sponsoring Andrew Irwin next season and valued customers can get some of the action! Shameless plug there . Joking aside John and Scott were excellent from the first call I made and looked after me very well yesterday. It's the second new bike I've had from Hunts and probably not the last!
@PauloHRC Did you get a ride on a demo or just jumped in like I do oh by the way you need to up date your avatar now
Nope never did a test ride, the bikes far better than I'll ever be so no need. Plus Hunts is as close to the city centre as you could get so there's no roads around there you'd want to safely crank it up a bit! Bike feels slightly taller than my other bike which is good, despite them having the same seat height. Front end looks tiny though so I may get.....dare I say it.....a tall screen!!!!
Hey @PauloHRC it's gonna to be a long week waiting I see your neighbours caught you on vid practising your skills in anticipation..... 1min 35secs in
After I'd spoken with Hunts and put a holding deposit down, and hour later I got a call from one of the sales lads explaining some of the offers they had, one was a datatool tracker, free installation and then you pay a monthly subscription that equates to £300 a year?? Does that sound right?? Anyway I was a little mithered at the time and I said I'd leave it for now and may be get some insurance quotes. So I did get some quotes that day, surprisingly was coming in around £550 to £600 with Honda HISS stated as the only sequity devices. I amended the quote to say it had a Datatool tracker and the quote came out £50 higher!!
If the tracker is still free And free installation you’ve nothing to lose by having it installed. The monthly subscription is £10 a month or £110 for the year. I have it fitted and I’ve subscrbed but I don’t mention it in insurance quotes.
I didn't get the tracker don't need someone somewhere seeing a flying dot on there screen.....at xyz mph.....don't forget the Honda battery charger,,,,,,as battery is different .....front screen is not to bad at high speeds I'm 5ft 8 ...
Many Honda dealers do the Datatag for free. Perhaps enquire about that. Doesn't stop it being stolen, but like most of us, you wouldn't be far from it at any one time.
You talking about the ones that DIDN'T self combust? That really is a shame for the owners though. The factory's end-of-production quality control MUST have some flaws! I hope that for future owners this is resolved with haste.
