Morning all, I'm sure by now nobody will remember but last year I had a 2012 black Fireblade and before that a 2010 black and white one. April last year I bought a 2012 RSV4 Factory APRC and I have to say that handling it's a big step up but I just can't get on with the V4 and it's lumpy/rattly characteristics so yesterday I traded it in against a 2014 Blade in white with a nice selection of mods already done to it. Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the'13 & '14 apart from the exhaust and rider position? What have they changed about the rider position, it doesn't look any different. Link to the bike - https://www.jordanbikes.com/pages/u...BR1000RR Fireblade&ENGINECC=1000#.XC3x6hP7SgQ Thanks.
American article but explains the changes. I noticed the change of position when I bought my 16 plate and for the first few rides my back hurt a little...bizarre given its only a move of a few mm but now it doesn't feel any different. Bike feels loads better than my old one mind. Enjoy https://motorbikewriter.com/2014-honda-cbr1000rr-motorcycle-aggressive/
Thanks Lozzy, I'll give it a read. I was online last night doing a bit of research but they aren't real rider reviews and all say the ABS in the best thing since sliced bread but I've heard it's not the best.
hi mate read the abs thread on here . i got rid of my new 16 plate because of the abs had lost all confidence of them (dealers run and hide soon as you mention abs0 . but apart from that they are so easy to ride
Oh dear, it's too late now. I'll probably only have it a year anyway. I don't tend to keep bikes too long.
I use this for most of my tech info: https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda cbr1000rr 14.htm The same site shows the 2013 as having only 2kw less power and a seat height of 2mm more. As @Lozzy said, it's negligible but might be noticeable.
Yep coupled with the 10mm on the pegs and bar position moved it makes it a tiny bit more aggressive. I probably only felt it as I'm on the bike so much you notice even tiny changes. Still comfy compared to some other sports though Hopefully the abs will be ok. When was the last full bleed?
You may never have a problem there are more that never had a problem than do . I was just a unlucky one
As a new boy to the aprilia range I am surprised to read this. I'd not ridden one but did try a 2018 for size but felt cramped. If there's so many early RSV4s being traded I might have to have another look.
They are a cracking bike , probably the best I’ve had but it’s a proper race bike if you know what I mean
