Sorted...I've put it in the Calender Totty thread now just for you That only leaves you to do for November me think's
Thanks. Is that from personal experience or media reviews? I have read a tyre test in Performance Bikes (July 2018) in which both the 2s and 3s were pretty much on par. At the time of that test the 2s were actually 8 quid dearer!
Cheers again, Raph. After a 'gentle' reminder they replied to my query. Have placed order for Rosso 2s at a cost of 217.00 which is bloody brilliant considering the dealer's quoted price of 308.00!! Will take loose wheels to a local tech after receipt of tyres, saving me another 40-odd quid over dealer price. I do think we pay a penalty for dealership loyalty. I can't justify paying 88.00 per hour labour charge for jobs like this and oil/filter change. Did my own oil and filter last week (on the 2011) and am now certain I'll use the dealer for only major works, plus scheduled servicing on the SP2 solely to keep the 'books' current.
Can’t go wrong with a pair for that money Nigel, you’ve covered half the cost of them with the saving from an oil/filter change. Result! Glad you got sorted.
In our city, 90% of sportbike owners use slicks. How does this come about? A container comes from Europe full of slicks after big tracks with tires after two or three 15 minute sessions. As a result, in the center of the slick as new, the sides are a bit erased. But the price! In the summer I bought 3 rear wheels Pirelli SBK SC2 200/60/R17 priced at 20$ per wheel. For the street, enough tires for 1000 miles. Insane grip! It was a "time of entertaining stories" rubric.
Thanks Iain. I might have confused myself - and others I guess. I've ordered what I wanted which is the Rosso 2s which I already have on my 2011. I thought they were Corsas, but was wrong. Just looked at the site and can't even tell the diff between them other than the 'Corsa' must be a harder version of the 'Super Corsa' which I have on my 2018. Anyway, I'm happy! Will confess though that I have an equally confused time with restaurant menus!!
Personal experience, screw the media reviews. I currently running 3 on the front and 2 on the rear. 2 is a good tyre, however 3 is a really good tyre.
M7rr is a better road tyre, loads of grip wet and dry, if you only want dry then stick some supercorsa's on

Book it in for a service with them and give them a sheet with all of the new parts i'd fitted, everything adjusted or lubed and then included anything I couldn't i.e. don't have the required specialist tools or the knowledge to carry out. They would charge an hours labour after checking it over then would stamp the book thus keeping it fully stamped. As you not up against a clock (In the bike shop the more time spent on it cost the client more money) you can take you time cleaning everything to your standards. A little tip, I always take my bike in with the fairing panels already removed for the service, saves them getting accidentally damaged then trying to prove they wasn't like that before, give it a quick wash\de-grease if really bad so it's clean, it makes the grease monkeys life a bit easier and they like little things like that.
I do like that tip although I don't know how I could hide my embarrassment at riding a 'naked' bike. If I wanted to do that I'd buy one of those MT10 things some guys are raving over!!
Quoted 30 quid today to tyre change loose wheels at a local independent bike service centre: https://ardenmotorcycles.co.uk/ Incredible contrast from the dealer's 88.00.
Great service by Oponeo - got my tyres today: https://www.oponeo.co.uk/moto-tyre-...0RGlyZWN0aW9uBQEykJJpj0T6CU0Fma+iXLF55QssF0w= June 2018 too!!
Bloody hell. I tried to crop as much as I could, just knowing that SOMEONE would scan the pic for something far more interesting than my tyres. They're probably from somewhere over that way, could be even made in the same sweat shop as Nike! Aldi specials though - origin unknown.
