Looks interesting but overdone compared to @PauloHRC 's. I feel a better job could have been done with the tank and plastic infill: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CB...742839?hash=item2ab580c9f7:g:3~4AAOSwky1bnNDX
Agree, doesn't do the styling and lines of the 17-18 shape blade any favours does it?? Looks like an old GSXR
This is good. There might be so many adverse comments about it that Vertu will try to offload it at a very low price later in the year! Walk up start for you, @Lozzy and in your local area. I reckon even @exuptoy might have a hankering for a 'comeback' to Honda!
I can't tell you how much I hate that colour engine casing & it looks even worse on that....bleuuurgh
Remember a few years ago when the current Honda BSB and TT racers had to design a paint scheme for the blade. Then a few Honda dealers got a few of their blades painted up in the designs. I can categorically say they were all hideous.
All being well @nigelrb, providing I don't get tucked up, this time tomorrow I should have another FireBlade in the garage............and before you start getting excited check out the capital B in the previous quote. They got rid of that when Baba San ceased to have any input in the design of the blades.
Here was mine which was sold to purchase the RR9......I think I had the better end of the deal as the blade was amazing
You might mean this: http://www.car-revs-daily.com/2014/09/05/honda-fireblade-racing/ And this is the pic of the bunch, but it should have white wheels:
When I had it it was just another K5 which I got for the bargain sum of £3k. I mopped all the paint, had all the black plastic items hydro dipped in a carbon pattern, found an uncut rear undertray, an original whales cock exhaust and got the wheels powder coated and fitted fresh bearings, used it for 18 months and sold it for £4600! Couldn't complain really.
On the subject of blueish bikes...I'm not too struck on the R1's 2019 colour scheme either, it looks really bland and lost imo... Totally the opposite to the stunning kenny roberts job they did.
