Yep just think it's a shame they've been lazy with the paint...maybe it's better in the flesh I'll go down and have a bounce around on it & see
Looks like I’ve been let down on the 900 Blade. Why are eBayers such wankers. Promise the earth the drop off the edge of it when you have to contact them! Fucking riles me!
Déjà vu. I encountered this also just 2 weeks ago, reported in this thread: https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/friggin-ebay.36521/ I am sure some list solely to test the market. They then go and brag to their mates, 'We'll, I could have got Ten Grand for it, but decided to keep it.' I think it's all ego inflating for the lister but a pain in the ass to the serious buyer. By the way, I have seen a couple of nice 900s recently; shame you've been dudded.
TBH Nige, I usually do one project a year and this would have been the one and quite honestly I think I would have kept it as it was unique in the fact there was a LOT of NOS parts still in bags but hey ho. I may just find a solid complete bike and go from there and just pick my way through it as I usually do. Don't suppose you know for any for sale?
Don't be ridiculous. If there was, I would have it by now!! Seriously though, no, I don't. I don't have special contacts like some who manage to get the good stuff before they're advertised. I just scan ebay and Auto Trader, and if there's something truly appealing I'll throw my hat in. The thing with the 900 Blades, is that many have had a hard life. People just didn't expect that they would be a sought-after item some 20-years' later. The really good ones are now pulling very good money unless there's a desperate seller, and they'\rte quite rare.
