Anyone have products from this company? After seeing a pic of @F1CT1C10U5 bike with carbon tank infills I see these as a great improvement. It's an expensive set of bling, but will really enhance appearance. ebay shows a product form Zero Limits at 97 quid, and one from China at 56. I would prefer the UK product - even though nearly double the price because it looks better. I hope the fit would be perfect also. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zero-Lim...bre/123200072476?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
I haven’t had any experience with zero limits Nigel but have a look at conquest carbon as they they are on this forum so maybe a better deal?
Cheers for that. No product shown on relevant page. 2008 - 11 might be a bit old for them. Have sent email. Can't phone because they're closed until the 19th.
Good, because I might just start off with the Chinese one and then if I don't like it, you'll be first on my list for re-sale. (Seriously though, I know you have similar high standards) As already recorded, I am more than happy with my Chinese fairings, but also, we all know that Chinese product can be hit and miss. For the record, it's exactly the same on Chinese Brides dot com.
Counter-offer came back at 52 quid. Bloody hard bargainers. I'll sit on it for 2 days, fully expecting another email advising: Okay, we'll do it for 50!!
I've got zero limits of mine. Top quality stuff and looks the mutz nuts. I've got the heal guarda, rear hugger and the chain guide. Good thing about it was that the Mrs bought it all for me, result. Am looking into getting the full rear cowl off them at some point. I know it's not cheep, but I highly recommend them mate .
Thanks for that. It's always a toss up whether to pay top price for good stuff or try to compromise. The compromise invariably fails and we later have regrets. Certainly the pics show the Zero Limits to be a nicer looking product. I'll hit them with 80 quid and see what happens. If not, I'll just email your wife!
As above was waiting for ZL to open on 19th. Maybe they didn't check emails, but I'll phone them tomorrow and post result tomorrow night. I actually asked if they had any 'seconds' as a means of trying to crunch price. They might have thought, 'Who's this friggin' smart-arse, we'll f*ck him off!! If they're not too negotiable I'll more than likely just go the Chinese one. If it backfires, well, serves me right.
Hi Dem. OUR research isn't faring too well. Have reply from Zero Limits who claim to have no more 2008 - 11 infill panels any more. They've referred me to Carbon King. Enquiry made and waiting for reply. Will update tonight. Hope you're happy with OUR progress!!
That's the things with these companies, if the mould breaks, they can't do anymore parts . The mrs ordered and payed for the rear cowl. Then got a phone call to say the mould had broke and couldn't do it. They did say however if I sent them mine, they could take a mould from that and then start making them again.
So, here's what Carbon King replied: "hi no we do not do them as they always rattle and do not clip in properly due to the plastic clip design. Kind regards Paul Train Managing Director The Carbon King" Not sure I agree with that. If OEMs don't rattle and fall out, why should a properly constructed carbon one fail? There are some other higher priced ones, including a nice looking set from USA. Shipping and import duty jacks the price right up though: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-201...=item4b2b6df7f6:g:1HEAAOSwMmRamK7R:rk:26:pf:0 So, I have done another deal with my Chinese friends, £50 including shipping. Should be here in a couple of weeks. I'll post up pics when they're on so you can then decide whether to opt for more expensive or the black rice paper version! You'd think that being the "Managing Director" he would have a bit more of a professional aire to his email communication, but hey...thats just me :/
