Had fun visiting Sportsbikeshop the other week and got some jeans for summer riding. Problem is they won't fit over my current boots, Alpinestars SuperTech R, and I don't like the look when they are tucked in the boot. Anyone recommend me a boot that jeans fit over but aren't ankle boots?

I've just bought some tcx street ace from xl moto for 49.99iirc comfier than trainers and look like normal shoes, squash proof soles ankle protection and even a slip on bit for the gear lever side top stop it scuffing them. look and feel good quality, not ridden in them yet, I just waned something with my jeans for when I'm out with my daughter so wee can stop off places and not be in leathers for eating and wandering round.

They look good. I favour the ankle boots too, in a softish leather. Couldn't handle the yellow trim though - will clash with my liveries.:(

I've had these for a few years now..v comfy but quite sturdy with decent ankle protection. However, my friend got t boned on his bike and the surgeon said if he'd have had shorties on and not his top spec Daytonas he would have probably lost his lower leg. Still had bad injury mind but mended now. Since then it's like a worm in my head niggling away when I put mine on, so I hardly use them now.
Got some new jeans instead with quite a bit of flex and so they go over all my other boots fine now.

Thanks but don't want ankle/short boots. I had a crash years ago and the shin protection on my Sidis saved me from some serious damage.

I like the look of those. I sure agree that the high 'proper' boots are the preferred option as far as safety's concerned. I guess it's easy to be overcome by the, 'it'll never happen to me' thought process.

We only have to look at recent events as posted by @Slick to know that risk is a hazard facing each of us every time we leave our driveway. (Apologies for the philosophy lesson;))

For what it worth, I wear Daytona Strive GTXs, and they just about fit under my skinny jeans, note I have chicken legs!

Hard to beat as an all weather road boot.

Must admit I only wear my jeans and short boots with the Mrs or daughter on the back as its speed limit and nice and steady. Never a fast ride in these, even so the roadskin jeans are meant be awesome in accidents and the boots seem well protected, I feel much safer in leathers. My alpinestars boots for over my jeans but find it a bit uncomfortable as they bunch up inside them.
As for the yellow highlights, they're 90% under my jeans, so cab hardly see then when on the bike:D.

I've ordered these through SportsBikeShop as it looks they should be fine with jeans https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/382472

I saw them cheaper on Amazon but SBS have price matched them, and I have a DDS card that gets discount at SBS so am extra happy with what I paid. TBH would have got them from SBS even without the extra discount as they are my favourite bike clothes shop with excellent customer service.

Delivered tomorrow so will let you know if they do work with jeans.

I've got Sidi B2 gortex which looks same as those ive had them years, tons of miles on them, superb boot. Never let water in, warm too. Re-soled twice and still as good as new. They fit fine under my jeans as not as bulky at top as the summer Sidi race boots.
Hope they're ok matey as I don't think you'll be disappointed with them :)

It was B2s I had my crash in, and were the replacement boots I bought afterwards. 2nd set lasted me 7 years before I gave them to the eldest just needing a re-sole. I like Sidi boots, even with the eponymous Sidi Squeak!
