Must admit she's well into bikes, going to teach her to ride off road geared first then see how safe she is. Go down the rs50, rs125, full licence then onto 300,600. If she likes it along the way. Most likely once she gets her car licence she'll lose interest in bikes but will have to wait and see. Got another 3 years till she's 16 so anything could change before then. She's very physically strong and well balanced with quick reactions so I'm hoping she'll be safe on them

RS50:D. Great little bike, or so I'm beginning to find. (Also plentiful and cheap) Have you ruled out an 'easier' bike to ride such as CBR125?

Got to have 50cc first:(, I like the cbr125 to be honest alot will depend how she gets on with the first one to what second one she has, I'll be out with her whenever I can so kind of want to get her used to sports style ready for the jump to a proper bike. If she can't get on with it though she might end up on a ktm Duke 125:oops: never know

    Ah right.

Hopefully, my little RS will look like this soon. Not sure if I'll still have it in 3 years though.

Now I look at it, it does look a bit, erm, girly:). Perhaps that's just the 'Lorenzo' touch:D:D.

I love the rs, all of them. My old one was a 97 single swing arm one:cool: went everywhere on it. It's a toss up between the rs for bringing her into sports style or a derbi sender for ease of ride and visibility for a first bike. Allot will depend which colour she likes on the day I dare say  got a friend that runs a training school too so can give her extra tuition if needed

Good for you Gav....great to see you're helping and encouraging her as a parent.
I was never discouraged from any so called manly pursuits in my generation and I've grown up a strong confident woman for it.
Biking has brought me and my female buddies nothing but absolute joy....I wish her well :)

Cheers Lozzy, she's always been a bit boyish with her hobbies tbh, did mma for nearly 7 years in a mainly boys class, always liked cars, gym, motorbikes:cool: don't think it helps spending so much time with me to be honest but if it gets me to keep going out with her into her adult life I can't wait:D she's adamant she'd going sky diving for her 18th birthday:eek: apparently I'm going with her:confused:

I play Guitar, Bass, (I have 8 guitars, 2 x 6 string basses (one a fretless) and 2 regular 4 string basses, play Keyboards and started playing the Sax a few years back but that didn't come to much. I also have a a bit of time for restoring cars (and bikes obviously) and currently have a 1973 camper in the garage which has been there for 8 years and gets a bit of work now and then when I can be arsed not to be playing with bikes.

    The camper!

Loved the GTEs, had a 16v of the next version. Lived in Germany at the time so got to use it to it's full potential, only ruined by it being a joyrider magnet when I brought it back to the UK.

Sold mine for £2500 probably 8 years back or so and mint ones are fetching £10k plus now. Concours ones nearer £20k!
Been lusting after a Kadett C Coupe myself, but again, Clean, solid ones up around £6-8k.
Theyre going the way of Mk1 and mk2 escorts.

Yeah, all the stuff on my Astra were period Irmscher parts including twin lamp front grille, tailgate panel, three piece rear spoiler, alloys and steering wheel. The Irmscher parts would probably fetch the price that the car sold for now!
