Of course she does. But her husband thinks we're a bunch of crackpots and is trying to discourage her.
Pmsl.......will you consider coming Nigel?? I can just see it now......Pistols at dawn across the Cat and Fiddle car park fighting over the honour of taking Lozzys hand! FISTy cuffs is the more likely duel though.......Christ knows how that'll turn out!
Lol....right we've got to stop this smutty innuendo now..... I had a rather disturbing dream about one of you lot last night & it's taking an awful lot of coffee this morning to wash the memories away
I’m new to this forum... how many of you actually know each other in real life? Is this all virtual banter or built on years of ride outs and frivolity?
I've met a few, ridden with a few, so a bit of both from my perspective. Ironically I was talking to the wife yesterday and said the forum is effectively a support group similar to ones she runs for people with a medical condition. Not everyone knows everyone, not everyone posts a lot, and I'm sure some get annoyed by thread drift and banter, but it makes the world a little less grey
Some of us have the misfortune of knowing one another Please feel free to join us if you're anywhere near Yorks/Lincs/Lancs/Derbyshire ...we're really quite nice
From a few years ago now. Note how they made the black blade start at the back so they could have a head start At least 2 others, @Muffking and @SimonRR , are still on here.
Oh, no. It was @theda , wasn't it. You've finally decided there is more to life than bikes and banter and have elected to follow the teachings of Krishna. I guess it can't be all that bad. Crazy hairstyle which you can pack in your helmet, the orange kaftan and other getup will actually complement your black Blade - and any left over Repsol gear, and you can ward off that one persistent and unwanted (presumably) admirer with one thousand Lotus flowers. Peace awaits you
I haven't met anyone but do have good communication with a few. Haven't joined any ride outs, mainly for geographic reasons, but also because I have one of the fastest bikes but would be one of the slowest riders. The frivolity might increase a bit on wet weekends, but it's all part of belonging to a cohesive group. Aside from the camaraderie, there are good tech tips available, any amount of assistance on tap, regular sharing of retail offers, members' bikes and parts for sale, etc. I can understand that to some outside introverted observers some of the goings on might seem a tad immature, but I can assure you that conduct on some other (unnamed) forums is totally reprehensible. I guess that in the main, a male-dominated environment might have the propensity to brew some toxicity.
We try to arrange quite a few in the summer however some don't come off if the weather turns as a few hundred miles isn't fun in the rain. Keep your eye on the ride out section. Tends to be a least a couple of weeks notice....apart from if @SimonRR posts one, which tends to be around midnight the day before
Don't let that put you off Nige... They always make me ride at the back as.. A. I'm a Woman B. I'm slooow C. I'm mentally unstable
