Rear caliper tricks?

Hi guys,

To start, I’m Jens from Belgium. So if I make any grammar mistakes. My bad but you should try it in Dutch once

So I’ve got a question for the people who often change the rearwheel (my blade is a trackbike) and keep messing with the rear caliper comming loose every time.

Is there any trick for it? I mean.. I’ve seen a type of bracket once, witch was fitted over the central bolt and was connected to the rear caliper bracket (doesn’t seem handy when changing the rear wheel, it all falls apart I’m guessing)

People with experience about that?

I say mechanic, but I really mean my mate who knows how to use a wrench without breaking things.

 

Hi Jens. A simple method during wheel changes is to simply secure the caliper to the swing arm with large ziplock/cable ties and then cut it off afterwards.

 

That’s a good idea. But I’m looking for something fixed. Because when during the race i need to put on the rain tyres. There’s no time to lose

That looks crazy and super handy. But since the motorsport is kinda expensive i can’t afford it

I was wondering if nobody has a trick to keep the caliper guard in the rail. So it doesn’t fall apart when changing the rear wheel

I think its done on my track bike, not had wheels off yet, he said to me callipers won't move when I bought it, i'll look 2mos in day light

Well that’s good news, the thing I’m wondering about is, when you change the wheel and you pull out the axle. How does the bracket keep the caliper in place? And does it?

 

Yes mate slides in Behind the bolt on the bottom slider so it’s fixed during wheel changes etc

 

I don’t quite understand, what do you mean by bottom slider? Where is it located?
And how much does your bracket costs?
