I have a Shoei GT Air Regalia here which is nice but heavy and an AGV Dragon Stealth but prefer my HJC's. I also have a Bell Daytona Carbon M5X here which is light but no more so than the HJC RPHA10 Spies Texas but the venting system on the Bell has no means to shut it down so in colder weather it is freezing. I think I have a helmet fetish!
So the X Spirit 3 arrived today, it's a beautiful thing and while I'm happy with my purchase and I can't fault it up to now, I would say it's only on a par with my other Helmet, the HJC RPHA plus 10. Quality wise there is not a lot in it. All the hype around the Shoei is justified, it's an amazing bit of kit, but it just goes to show that the level of its competitors is now right up there. Is it worth it's £700 price tag?? I'm not so sure, I paid £399 for mine and I feel like I've got a bargain so I'm more than happy!
After a little bit of obligatory Red Bull treatment, just need a black visor now and it'll look the bollocks
If I’m not mistaken HJC built a new facility purely for the manufacture and testing of the RPHA10 (May have been the 11) so you can understand why quality now comes as standard.
Arcgraphics97 is the seller ID on ebay. They do a full kit for about £10 plus postage. Based in Spain but deliver within a few days.
Looks awesome! This will be my next helmet. For several years now I have been carrying out this idea. Paulo, can I get the same deal for £ 399?
