Treated her to some trick parts to go on when the other things get here. The guys at racetorx seem a good bunch with some decent parts so worth a look.
Go Raph! That haul looks bleedin' brilliant. Love the calipers and quick-release hoses. Never heard of those shaft supports before either!
take a look at racetorx @nigelrb all cnc machined and looks good quality! Can’t wait to get the calipers on, one piece of billet Ali machined. Hope they work as good as they look as they are a work of art mate
Very nice Raphael. Hears good things about the HEL calipers. QR lines look trick too... are they on their website or do you have to call?
I think they are both on the @tuktuk there are two different types of we lines? Stainless and magnesium the later being double the cost
He bought it locally before he’d even passed his test. Got to 60 y.o. after me extolling the virtues of biking and a few visits to the Northwest200 as he has a property in Ireland and decided he needed to get his licence. Think he bought a 650 after. I assume he still has the lil CBR?
Usual service from the sports bike shop, the battery is so small and light I’m thinking it’s the wrong one?
I thought that when I got mine, but they give you padding foam to fill up the battery box so it doesn't slide around
@raphael did you understand the info leaflet in the battery about chargers? I bought same as you and don’t know if i need the charger or not after reading it.
To be honest mate I haven’t looked yet, I will keep and use it though as my current battery has been on an optimate everyday and is 7 years old.
I use a solar charger and had the battery on my VTR for 8 years and then sold the bike, even after the winter the bike turned over like it had a new battery on it. so I wonder if these would be any good for a gel battery? or is all this charging business a load of bull, you have not changed you bike charging system so what is the difference? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Solar-Ch...=item41fa09bb3e:g:u7oAAOSwcs9a6xG-:rk:30:pf:0
Started it for the first time in about 8 months, due MOT next week, so I thought I better make sure it'll run as I don't want to find out on the day. Got an F1 blink 35, which from what I read is flapper servo fault, so I'm guessing the servo eliminator is up the spout, so that'll be getting replaced next month along with the oil and filter and refresh the coolant.
So, having hauled it out from the shed; I swapped out the old lead acid battery for the new lithium, wired in the charge lead, fitted the Fenda Extenda. All whilst supported on its new ABBA Stand. As predicted when fired up it smoked like a good en for about 10 minutes whilst the ACF-50 residue burnt off. I then refitted the tank cover, seat and side panels before giving it a good polish. Fingers crossed I’ll get out on it tomorrow
