Hi friends, I am planning to buy a 2009 HRC fireblade, tricolour, and I found already a good candidate. The bike I found has white rims (wheels). Yet, as far as I know, this model was originally produced with gold rims. So, I am wondering whether the owner of the bike has coloured the rims, or even the whole bike. The owner claims that he bought the bike new and that it had originally white rims. Do you know whether any of the 2009 HRC fireblades had white rims? I tried hard to get this info through the internet or the local dealers, but can't find the answer. I think that it is crucial to know if the bike is painted, as this might indicate that the bike may have had an accident. Thanks a lot, Savvas
I had the 2011 with white rims. Some people swapped them. Here though is one of the best spec authorities available, and you'll see it has gold: https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_cbr1000rr 09 tricolor.htm
Yes there was. 2011's were released with white. Maybe not in Portugal though, because of the sun glare! https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_cbr1000rr 11 tticolor.htm and above in post 2 which is mine.
If in the UK check the reg on DVLA it will tell you the colour. Also look at the frame/engine case colour combo as this will give you some clues. Also 2009 didn't have a cover on the exhaust this came in 2010
No its the lazy ba*tard of an owner who can't be ar*ed to clean his bike in the winter version............very limited production run, quite sought after nowadays PS, I stand corrected as I just re read the thread and mine was a 2010 non stopping version, not a 2009.
I'm pretty sure HRC came both in gold and white wheels for models 2008-2011. Standard blades got the black, however this varies differently in each country i.e. special orders, model/colour options
