Hi all I have just taken advantage of Honda's fantastic offer on their blades I went for the RR with the sports pack fitted so get the quickshifter hugger etc. Should be picking her up on Saturday cannot wait. Came form a BMW just a 800R so the performance is going to take some getting used to, I am still trying to get my internal organs to sit in there correct places after the test ride!!!! Just to add I found the blade more comfortable than the CB1000R that I was going to buy as I am old fat short and not that fast That was until I rode the new blade Hope to explore your vast knowledge of all things Blade I have had Honda's before but this is my first Blade. Paul
Welcome to the forum Paul - make sure to post some pictures once you’ve picked it up. Hope the weather improves wherever you are for collecting as you don’t want to get soaked first ride out.
Hiya Paul, and welcome. Good choice in bike. Judging by your avatar, you went for the red rather than the black? I hope you fit in. You will be the only 'short, fat and old' guy on the forum.
Hi and welcome. Post those pictures and take it easy on that bike until you get the hang of it! Best of luck mate!
Its good to have at least one short fat old fellow It is an 18 model bike so no black ones left it would have cost me an extra 2k and higher interest rate. Anyway the red ones are always faster it is well known fact
I am hoping the weather picks up if not I can have it delivered as I am getting it coated and protected and if it gets up to the t*ts it adds hours on to the process. I will be certainly be taking it easy I could just about hang on when I opened it up might have to get a tether!
Welcome Paul, good choice. There’s probably a few of us on the forum that are not tall, not slim and not young.
Erm, that only applies to Honda Cubs. When it comes to Blades, the HRC is the fastest. Don't be concerned though, you won't be far behind.
Welcome to the forum Paul Don't see many red ones, I think they look really nice. Hope you got a good deal on it? Paul
Hi I am in Newcastle and purchased from Newcastle Motorcycles. The colour is OK better in the flesh the black one is stunning and the HRC colours speak for themselves I had to really stop myself from buying the SP her indoors would have had the crowns straight off eek! So I didnt have a choice really hardly slumming it though
You're correct. Nowhere near slumming it. It's a quality bike and one you'll have no regrets over. We will teach you how to 'fudge' figures and conceal 'necessary' expenses from partners and financial 'liabilities'. Lead tutor on this is esteemed member @PauloHRC .
To be fair there is no way I could do the SP justice it would be wasted on me and if I wanted to keep after 3 years I would have to find another 2k to do so. lovely bike though
I can't believe lozzy hasn't come along yet with comments and pictures of short, fat old men and nigel
