Never seen one, but I'm no authority, especially of the '900 series' Blades.

Black and red is always a good combo. I reckon the owner has used the original graphics 'template' for the colour change.

 

Black ones erion paint. American team Hayden rode for them ect.

I really like it. Formula extreme I think it was mental power things for the time.

 

It’s a USA colour Erion racing won a series in the USA in 1996 so they bought this out as a one off.

I have the chance to buy it at a real good price, it was imported here with 0 miles in 97 it’s registered as a 98 2 owners and just under 12k miles
The dealership that imported it is local to me 10 miles but sadly closed down last year.

 

All of a sudden I feel the need to have an old retro fireblade

 

If I buy this one I am not sure if I will keep it? As I have the same model already in a 95 urban tiger so for my collection it will look out of place with the others??

OMG the memories just come flooding back of my old 918, last of the carb models RRW. Oh the joys of no fuel gauge and the tap being left on reserve and forgotten about

My first blade experience was pillion on one identical in late 1998 - couldn’t afford one myself so got this CBR600

 

Snif the seat Lol , Mrs selmer50mark wants me to sell it but I keep her sweet by topping up her Emma Bridgewater collection

 

Sounds like a good trade-off to me. Many a guy would be paying through the nose just for the rights to keep ONE bike.
