I did try it on my shower screen but just rinsing with the shower it left some streaks on there. Jet wash though cleared it all off. I had clean shower screen off, took bloody ages! Have to in sections on the car so it doesn't dry before rinsing I was told
This was ceramic coated a year ago only been foamed and washed, no extra waxes sealant etc and still beads well and minimal swirls. Gonna get the family meat wagon and blade done in he same stuff soon
Yes mate l did a scirocco and an a5 sportback, and still plenty left to do a bike, if not another small car
As per usual ive gone full on and bought all the detailing gear. DA polisher with 5 stage hexlogic pads, Mezerna Compound, Polish and Mirror finish. Gtechniq ceramic kit (Panel wipe, Crystal Lacquer, C2 V3 ceramic spray) Had a go on the nose picture speaks for itself (though doesn't give it justice!!) No waxing for me, just a quick foam pre wash, pressure spray, contact wash if necessary, then a occasional spritz with the ceramic spray
Is this the stuff? https://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/p...nse-top-seal-sprints/ad-supersonic-sprints-5l
No its Gtechniq C1, its a full on ceramic coating should last a few years! The C1 takes 12 hours to cure to a permanent coating. https://gtechniq.com/products/auto/c1-crystal-lacquer-and-c2-liquid-crystal
That looks far too good for what your going to do with it Jon. Can’t go far wrong with menzerna mate I use the same brand on the gold, silver at work mate
Glad to know menzerna is the stuff pros use. Its awesome, no fillers/ glaze just pure polish. The blade is really a test piece, my folks are well into cars, great spending time with them detailing the their rides too
Well done!! I also use the Liquid Crystal after being tipped off by another member. Have not used it in conjunction with their other products though. While this might not be as 'high-tech' as many, I get good results with ordinary Turtle Wax polish with the Liquid Crystal as a second dressing. Obviously I am not naive enough to know I could do better, but I'll probably wait until my Turtle has expired.
Ceramic coated my Arai visor at the weekend. This morning got caught behind a quarry truck, outside said quarry on a torrential downpour. Check out the difference between the visor and rest of helmet after a quick wipe down, the water repellency was out of this world!
Huh? Why? As if you'd be out in the elements! On second thoughts, the idea might be good for insect season!
Not on the blade no But with storm Gareth kicking the living crap out of London it would be nice for today's ride home, in the pouring rain
