Morning boys and girls, Well totally unplanned but I have just upgraded my 600rr track bike to a 1000rr. 2004 rr4 model Cheers
Hi guys, thanks for the welcomes. It has a v5 so I will ad it to my policy and potentially take it out here n there but mainly a track bike. From the reviews it seems it should be a quicker version of the 600rr, I've loved learning track riding on the 600, so hopefully the blade will move me on another step
I had a 57 plate 600rr before the blade and really wish I'd had a go on track with it. The main difference I noticed from the jump up was the huge power differenceand how smooth it is delivered. It feels no heavier or harder to ride.
What year 600RR did you have? I was on the fence between a 600RR and a 1000RR but after much deliberation ended up here No regrets yet!
Hi guys, well here she is. Been stood for a while so needs a going over before I have a proper ride. I've thoroughly enjoyed my 600rr, its a 2003 early model but £2000 is more than enough to spend on your first track bike (in my opinion anyway). I had a blackbird and have been really missing that insane pull through the gears (but not the risk of my licence) so decided the 1000rr should satisfy the want for power. Couple of tweaks on her, K&N filter, full akropovic sysytem and a PC5 should give a couple of extra horses. Thanks for the comments. Mick
My mate has a couple of blackbirds still, I can't resist nicking one every now and again. Something about that power and weight. Going to put some treaded tyres on the 1000rr so I can try it on the road Have a feeling it'll be a better idea on the track Mick
