hi So the first thing on my new blade’s shopping list is tyres... I understand that its a very subjective choice but I just wondered if there’s a general consensus to what works best on an 09 rr for the road....
Tyres are ultimately a subjective assessment/preference of an ultimately complex objective set of behaviours and attributes. What kind of riding will you be doing? How long do you want them to last? Personally I’d rather have grip over longevity, and do a mixture of road and track riding, so I plumped for the new Bridgestone S22 in a 190/55. But there are many good choices out there, some of which might suit your particular needs and preferences better
Just my two bob mate I use road 5’s as I ride all year. Great in the dry and just as good in the wet, inspire confidence when they shouldn’t and get about 5-6k out a rear
I’m on my second set of Power RS love them. Absolutely perfect for the roads and conditions where I live, constantly changing surfaces from rough to smooth hot to cold dry to wet, never miss a beat. There’s probably something better out there, but the RS works for me.
Good one GG. That's nearly my purchasing criteria. So long as they look good, it doesn't matter how they handle.
First worry about getting to grips with your new bike AND THEN try to be another smart ass on the forum
Easy way is to download a gif say on your phone into your gallery or photos. Then click on the Upload a File in this reply box, go to the gif and taadaaa it'll appear in here as the original moving gif
Metzeler if you are reading this then you are well aware you owe me another marketing fee M7RR is a great all rounder. From soaking wet roads through to blistering hot track work they are very capable. Better tyres out there for specific use but as a do it all it's hard to find better. I'd always use 55 but that just suits my riding better.
haha very true this gonna bea whole lot fun and 20 Years on technolagy wise. And been a smart ass dosnt pay very much but is rewarding
