Hi guys, been lurking for a while admiring the 1000rr until I was legally able to ride one. Moved from a cbr500r and have loved every second of it. Looking forward to being more active through the forum
Hi Sammich, and welcome. Nice pick up! Friggin' lurking for a while? As in 16 months? Hope you've picked up a bit of knowledge in that time because these are a great bike when properly cared for. Must also let you know that I'm a fan of the old Vegemite Sammich.
Hi and welcome to he road, as from your join date and your comment you’ve been here for a while. Hope your ABS works out better than mine did, or better yet its already been removed. Be safe
Thanks for the warm welcome! Let's just say I knew for a long time what bike I was going to end up with I have learned soo much during my lurking period and still have a lot to learn. I Have already done a few tasteful mods which has made it a much nicer looking and sounding bike Glad to hear we have another vegemite fan out there
Thank you for the welcome and I have been lurking for a while and can finally participate now that I have the bike! I have had a few glitches with my ABS. On 3 occasions while riding in the wet, my abs light started flashing and the front brake lever had no affect until the 3/4 point of application. Not too sure if rain related or a sign of things to come
Thank you for the welcome. I have had a few glitches which a quick reset has fixed, hopefully that is the last of my ABS issues
Welcome to the forum Sammich, that's a long time lurking.......you'll have noticed that threads don't stay serious for long and quickly go off on a tangent! But there is still some sound advice on here, such as where to buy marker pens, what the best pies are and how to squeeze as many motorbikes into your living room as possible! So it's all good
Love it @nigelrb ........ as a side note we know from other posts of your motorcycle insurance highs and lows, but ........... how do you go on with your house insurance with so many fire risks
