Hi all I have tried a search but not really come up with anything. I have just taken delivery of my new Fireblade along with various accessories one of which is the carbon HRC tank pad. It is in 4 bits but the very bottom one crosses the white lines on the tank plus the curve of the tank is quite extreme so the second section doesn't look that good either so its not going on. Can any of you good people point me in the direction of what to put on? Many thanks Paul
Just leave the last one off....Di's just put 3 on her SP and looks fine. There's a better pic somewhere in her thread amongst the rammel...
For me, there's too much happening with them. I use the HRC carbon effect, but have clear on my MV. After seeing @PauloHRC 's clear, I would gravitate to that next time.
Yes I know what you mean they look OK but might look a bit over the top on the bike as the colours of the bike are quite understated and the tank pad is err not
I have the 4 section HRC tank pad on my 2017. I placed the first section quite high up as it seems to fit naturally in the indentation on the tank cover. It means the 4th section is nowhere near the seat but as my bike is the matte black I can't say whether it would cross the white lines or not. I'd post a picture but I don't want to suffer the abuse over the misalignment.
Yeah go for it.....buy a stuffed toy to cable tie onto your plate and maybe some clashing rearsets to complete the look
Get real Loz. If we are to protect the tank from scratches, I'm damn well going to protect my white stripes!! It's no different than my wallpapering. I simply paper over architraves and the whole shebang. Easier to remove finger marks and vacuum cleaner scuffs. You'd love my place.
Puig clear for me, it's so good you can barely see it, I put it on low as well as that is where most scratches occur. People tend to put them too high which isn't necessary.
