Gary, you can't donate within X amount of time of being inked but you'll need to check their rules for the exact time frame. As I have beautifully flawless and pristine flesh I've never paid that much attention to the ruling. Villan, yes that's the one I've got the Bronze one. They issued it to replace my 'ration book' but then only ever actually used it the once and I've never had a new one sent either for my Silver or last nights Gold. I have donated 11 pints of blood i think. I wasnt able to do it for the past 3 years though as all the donation days landed on my evening shifts lol. Ive changed jobs now so only do monday to friday 9-5 so need to get back into doing it. Trouble is they have stopped sending me the invites so I allways miss them :-(

From inside the fog of my smugness I forgot something equally important. Jeanette has been selected as a potential platelet donor. This means that should she prove a match for some poor soul requiring healthy platelets she will be matched up with just that one patient as a donor in order to stave off rejection. The thought of contributing to the treatment of a particular patient in this way is such a feel good idea, I'm feeling quite envious of her.
