not sure what i have learnt, not enough!

i know stuff i need to learn. I hate that i cant ride this like i could my 125

I guess the most important thing is listening to people on here, i have decided that im just gonna ride and enjoy it, get some confidence that way

oh, wait, dont ride while desperate for a tiddle, thats todays lesson learnt.

oh wait, i just remembered again. Before i had any bike, I was jealous of the bikes going past my house all the time, when i got a 125, i was jealous only a third of the time, now i have this, i watch the bikes, and get jealous, then realise i have my dream already parked around the back!

Treat everybody else as an idiot, look where you want to go not what you are trying to avoid  oh and counter steering was a revelation ;) and finally never think you are in anyway better than the bike!

I learnt a long time ago that riding a motorcycle is fun. I’ve loved it ever since and I hope to continue for many years to come.

A local phenomenon - locally, people do not like being overtaken, by motorbikes/bicycles in traffic - they really don't like it. I think there is a reason for this. Locally, drivers are mostly courteous and they will very often let cars out of turnings and driveways and so on. Very polite and considerate in letting other cars out, letting people cross roads, stop and let people out - very good like that.

The flip side is a kind of belief that they own the space in front of them and that if you overtake you have somehow pushed in front - unwelcome , uninvited, a kind of cheating or pushing in front of a queue. They really don't like it. They close gaps and get all bargy about it, they really don't like it.

So as a result, locally, I do not go in for aggressive filtering through traffic as it is more grief than it is worth. It is a cultural thing.

I've learnt that my bike is never 'finished'...just when I think "hmmm, nice" I see something else on here or someone else's bike and HAVE to have it.
This inevitably leads me to learn that being part of this forum community is expensive.

    I know :(
I saw it and almost went for it, but I stepped back and had to admit that recent pads, bolts, oil & filter had depleted my funds plus I want new chain and sprockets so I have had to forgo the cover for more shiny crap :D

I've got 'pull' with my great relationship with Chinese manufacturers. Something though, went wrong in the translation of 'headcover'. ;)

I’ve learned that someone will always pull out on you. And that cagers hate filtering. I’ve also learned that people get really annoyed when at lights you rev your engine and they are on the phone. It’s fun when someone doesn’t look in their mirrors so you pin it past them
