Where are you guys watching the WSB and is there a catch up service? Only got BT Sport for Moto GP but it doesn't cover wsb
Eurosport has has full coverage from Friday practice to Sunday race's! You should have eurosport if you've upgraded to BT sport!
I did watch it super sport was good as for wsbk Honda way way off the pace.....made me laugh When the BMW crew head Pete Benson was interviewed he was In Moto GP for years he said that is was dead ...that no one was there pretty much sums it up....need all brands in it again hardly any bikes on the grid ...as for Honda they might as well not bother,,,,,embarrassing ...the V4R is on a different planet....if I had 35k I would!
The way Bautista has taken over WSBK as opposed to how long it takes WSBK riders to make a difference in MotoGP has really highlighted the gulf between the two competitions. Did have a wry smile at the Kwak boss suggesting Ducati should have a large rev limitation applied despite no other Ducati currently being anywhere near no 19 and Rea having consistent second places, similar to Rea last season when he was happy to not have a rev llimitation applied to KRT for the same reason.
Ooh I have eurosport back at home, but on holiday atm and there is no wsb on the Bt Sport app, will try and figure out a way
2019 Season-Starting Rev Limit Table Aprilia 14,700 BMW 14,900 (50 rpm less than last year’s model) Ducati V4 16,350 (all new engine for 2019) Honda 14,550 Kawasaki 14,600 (500 more than 2018 model) MV Agusta 14,950 Suzuki 14,900 Yamaha 14,700
Further to Paul's reply, there was no coverage of the 300s (that I could find). For £5.00 per month you can get all of it on Eurosport Player: https://gb.eurosportplayer.com/subs...s-aragon/8ed0a772-c0cb-423c-ad6f-7eebc550ca94
I downloaded Sky Go Extra and can catch up on the highlights, just not the full races its ok, its only one weekend
They had an interview with Anna and were talking about Aragon being the first race but I was fast forwarding to the main race due to time constraints. Thought they were showing the 300 race though, shame if they didn't.
Don't know why BlackDevil disagreed with my comment about limits being changed during the 18-19 season. Most teams had a rev limit reduction applied at the start of 2018 but no team had a mid season adjustment last season despite JR stomping over everyone. Going from what the Scott Smart the Technical Director for WSBK was saying yesterday there are unlikely to be any applied after this review, but some teams will be allowed an increase, I would guess that would be applied to Honda and BMW as they appear so far behind they almost need a new class to be added to the championship despite Sykes showing at Aragon. But hey discussion is good and I like to learn other people's take on things As for the disparity between the v4 and il4 limit difference that is too far beyond my mechanical understanding.
Ducati have a 250rpm reduction whilst Honda have a 500rpm increase. Ducati and Kwak not allowed any upgraded parts. http://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2019/WorldSBK rev limits and concessions updated after Round Three
Maybe somebody can explain it to me: Ducati gets punished and they are limited to 16.100 RPM while - for example - Aprilia is limited to 14.700 RPM. Both are V4 and Ducati are allowed to rev 1.400 RPM more than Aprilia and the rest of the bunch.....
I can't explain that, but then neither can I explain why the 2019 Kwak engine has a higher limit than the 2018 and yet the BMW is lower on the 2019 than the 2018. My only guess would be something power related at certain revs or within a defined rev range. With a bit of luck the Eurosports commentary team will try and flesh it out a bit more this weekend.
The revs are limited as well by production versions. The limit they can rev to is the rev limit of the 'special' versions they produced, I assume that Aprilia is just that much lower in the public.
Well that was an interesting race weekend/day. 2nd race was impressive, have to love Assen for the fairing rubbing that goes on. Not going to post any more in case people haven't watched yet.
Interesting read about Bautista: https://www.gpone.com/en/2019/04/17...-killing-ourselves-albeit-with-a-smile-on-our
