Sorry yea, I missed your point. If you're talking about new pcp vs used pcp then it's a no brainer. I think you'd have to be an idiot to buy a used bike with a pcp at circa 13% apr though.
And hence whilst this new deal is on used SP’s and SP2 now they are in the deal will fall badly but recover once the deal goes Look at the finance eg here..£4k of interest making this bike unsellable v new and why dealers are only offering £10-£11k px https://www.doble.co.uk/bikes/used/view/2763079/2018-honda-cbr1000-s1-h-fireblade-sp-abs
As mentioned previously, there will likely be a new Firebalde very shortly, due to the Euro 5 reg coming in at the start of 01 January 2020. They are not going to be able to meet those regs, with a sports bike engine, by putting a dustbin sized silencer on it and change the paint job. This is likely why we have seen variable valve timing technology from Suzuki, now BMW, and Yamaha are set to introduce this to the R1, in time for Euro 5. It is going to mean new engine time. There will have to be a substantially different bike to meet Euro 5. They will not get away with changing the colour of the stickers or the paint job. So how is that going to pan out for the resale value of current model sportsbikes ? Personally not bothered as I have on order an R1 that will certainly be upgraded soon to meet Euro 5 https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci...uro-5-emissions-what-they-mean-to-motorcycles
If its a V4 it wont be a Fireblade. Honda have a lot invested in the I2/I4 CBR range. V4 would come back as some sort of VFR/RC.
May stabilise prices as most drop and stay around the 6 to 7k Mark....I really like my sp kepted my last blade for 5yrs although I do like the v4 s corse in that GP Matt finish but at 25k and 7% Apr and £2.50 for mine no deal to be had yet..
Not this again. I've already shelved my dream of the 'new' V4. If this is going to happen I might have to sell my mint RR4 red/white/blue with only 5,500 miles.
Magic Beans are also available Sadly I don't believe Honda will bring out a v4 sportsbike for the general public.
I thought you might. I've said many a time how much I really love this bike. I just couldn't let it go - unless something totally irresistible could replace it. I do hope you find one.
Lovely its this model or the first Repsol RR5 and the RR5 in the lovely blue with silver belly pan, theres a lovely one on ebay at the moment. To be fair i have spent out at the moment soon to pick up a mint 954 and i have also put a deposit down on a (DONT LAUGH) Kawasaki ZRX1200 in Kenny Lawson colours billy bargain price 1 owner 8k miles have a look on ebay what these bike are making £££££££
Done well, Gary. I'm either going to have to do heavier ads scanning or upgrade my contacts. You're right, the 954 is impeccable. And to think I was looking at a 21,000 mile R1 when that was hidden away somewhere. I'm heading over to eBay right now!
