Who is 'everyone'? The dreamers who make offers with no intention of purchasing?

You're probably aware there's a host of 2015s listed anywhere from £8200 through to ten grand. You gotta hold out longer than 10 days though.

Well yeah everyone as in all those who messaged me wanting to see the bike but only for £7k. I get what you are saying but it just put me off re-advertising it as I just assumed it will constantly be more of the same stupid offers. I didn't even research what else was on ebay I just went on prices on Biketrader. It actually made me consider just keeping the bike and accept it gets little use and just enjoy it when I do get the chance.

From my other thread I really want to get the frame mottling sorted before relisting because if it can be cleaned off then it's a no brainer.

One last throw of the dice on ebay at £7500 or I just keep it.

Glws but for what it’s worth I sold my 2015 HRC this time last year with less than 2000 miles on the clock for £7500. I too had next to no interest.

Cheers it's shocking they have lost so much value. I've allegedly just sold it via ebay without it being viewed and deposit sent to me so I will see what happens. They have 100% feedback and seem genuine and I told them about the mottling on the frame and sent a pic of it and so I have been 100% honest about the bike with them. I won't get too excited as it's not sold until they turn up to collect it and pay the money in at my local bank. However the next cheapest Repsol 2015 is £7700 up North plus I put a brand new front tyre on it on Friday so really only getting a touch under £7400 for it after the tyre :( Every other Repsol is priced at £8k upwards but as pointed out to me previously a load of 2015 bikes are for sale at the moment so too much competition to get a decent price for them.

Cheap bike but it boils down to how many people have £7500 cash laying around or if there looking in to a bank loan the repayments will be more than I am paying for my new SP2, I am like Nigel I always hit people with a low offer first just the nature of the game. GLWS

Thanks Nigel and Gary. He isn’t coming until Saturday so that’s a long way off yet. I’ve started looking for a low mileage RR4 if I can find one between £3.5k to £4k. 5 and 6’s for that money will be high milers or bad condition so pretty much ruled them out. Anything you can advise to look out for? Should I be checking that the stator has been replaced?

I can't offer much other than to say that if a bike looks good and well looked after, it wouldn't need any work doing to it. Not sure if stator life is a problem on these. Certainly hasn't been with mine.

There are good low mileage bikes about - you just have to keep scanning to find them. I recently heard of one good bike that was snapped up within 35 minutes of being listed! Always try and find history from the owner before bidding or committing.

Thanks and that’s not far off mine selling yesterday. The guy who has paid the deposit messaged me very soon after i’d listed it. I’m always on biketrader and autotrader as i’m mad about cars and bikes but ebay is a new place to look for me as never trusted it previously until I looked and saw just how much was being sold on there that never even sees auto/biketrader. If you or Gary see anything whilst perusing i’d welcome any leads :D

I'll keep an eye out, but I'm not in buying mode at the moment. It's 929 OCD cleaning day!:)

No I just was watching his for sale ad as the cheeky git was trying to sell it for way more than he paid me for it lol but he ended up dropping it to what he paid me and still couldn't sell it and then it got nicked. He'd been warned by some on the groups to not put so much info up as to where he was and then it gets nicked. Bike theft is rife at the moment, a mate told me one of his neighbours had his 3 bikes stolen out his garage by pikeys who had been in the area scoping places out.

I will never leave my bike in Southampton as it's well known for being bad locally but I think it goes for just about anywhere in the country at the moment

Thanks for that post, and glad to learn it wasn't stolen from you - although a theft from anyone is bad.

Your words reinforce the necessity for those of us selling bikes to be super careful with the info we give out. I am guilty of being too trusting at times - but let us remember that anyone can be shafted.
