Stop pulling wheelies then ha ha
I have had trackbikes do more miles than that on a set of chain and sprockets?? Most get over 10k out of them on road

I've no idea why it they lasted so short, could be previous owner could have been my poor attention to oiling the chain when I first got it at 2k miles. I've always had issues with oiling the chain as no one to help me put it on a paddock stand so have to move it up and down the drive way to do it so don't get an even spray, had a scott-oiler once and that was a nightmare on my GSXR so gave up on those. Only wheelies I do now are about a cm off the ground as soon as I feel the front lift I ease off lol - I got put off after almost flipping my cbr400rr in my 20s :D although I have always fancied going to wheelie school and learning properly

I've got a figure from him which i'm OK with but also looking at a 1 owner full dealership history 21k rr7 for roughly the same money. So low mileage rr5 with 4 owners or double the mileage rr7 with 1 owner from the supplying dealership with a lot of services and stamps done religiously and will have 3 month warranty. I'm more tempted with the rr7 at the moment.

If the rr7 is in good order the 21k wouldn't bother me but I probably wouldn't put 3000 miles on it in 7 years time, but if it was going to be my only bike then I defo wouldn't be buying it as I do a fair few miles per year 4000/5000 on average.

one will come up I missed out on a rr7 12k miles hrc colours £4675

Does he have the standard parts for it indicators/exhaust/rear tail/bar end weights the plastics look clean in the pics, fireblade sticker on the front YUK hope that's not covering a nasty scratch/stone chip?

I might be biased but I’d go for the RR7 out of those two options, even if both were RR5s...

If you’re planning to use the bike rather than sit on it for an investment defo get the one owner/well serviced one.

Thanks guys. Yeah the rr7 is my preference because of the servicing/1 owner and warranty and because it’s close enough I could keep it serviced there depending what their prices are like. I’m going to go and view it and test ride but its due to rain the rest of the week

Funny that’s what I thought when the bike has such low miles.

There is one other bike that keeps making me look at it on ebay - a white and blue 954 with 20k miles. It’s too far to go and look and way too risky to buy without checking it over in person so i’ve not asked about it but I love the look of it. I just wish it was closer so I could view it!

It says last owner done all the services himself? Has the big one been done? It’s says in his discription that there’s marks on the plastics

I've messaged asking about service history and if the 16k has been done and if he has all the old MOTs that tally up the mileage of the bike. The marks could be nothing could be everything so that's why the bike needs to be viewed for me. If it's mechanically spot on i'd be open to getting plastics sorted even if it means having to go to dream machine to get it back to original condition.

I can't help think about my 929 when I look at these and these are regarded as even better so i'm very tempted to get one if a good condition one becomes available.

Realised the no plate is shown in the photos so done an MOT checker and they match the mileage however the colour is listed as red lol not blue and white!

Thought i'd put it in the DVLA tax checker as well and it comes up as yellow on that one so even the DVLA have it as 2 different colours

I’ll need to find 2 then lol

At the moment the rr7 local to me seems the best bike but need to go and see it. That 954 with conflicting colours at dvla/government websites could just be an error or it’s a crash repair with completely different plastics on it and the seller hasn’t replied to me yet. I want to know what the v5 says!
