Great guy nah. When they have to do a paint job to replicate the brilliant Honda VTR 1000 SP1, they are trying all avenues to get rid of the current model that no one wants,
Fantastic! I never suspected that. Thank you. It was all the gold and Akrapovic that attracted me. My wife will be pleased.
Hi Great Guy, did you not need a new R1 two weeks ago https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/yam.37141/ As nigelrb says above - £15,490 and 1700 miles! -
Dislike for that? It's my point of view based on fact. Mid last year I purchased a 1999 VTR. I liked the bike but regretted buying it instead of an RC51 SP1. I therefore 'changed my mind after buying the bike' and sold it within 3 months with the intent to purchase said RC51. In the meantime, a member posted an aprilia RSV1000R Factory for sale which I purchased.
Maybe. And I thought @gary1966 had a good understanding too, being '929 and SP2 brothers' and all. But just maybe, Gary disliked the fact that I have changed my mind after buying because he might have wanted the very bike that I'd purchased. I blame my parents for this. It's the female chromosomes. Nah, I haven't grown breasts or considering doing a Caitlin Jenner. It's the thought process genes I inherited, you know, the 'It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind' genes. Nah, Raph. I've matured since then.
The paint scheme doesn’t suit the bike, probably down to it needs bigger fairings to make it work Have found with the 17my onwards bikes that the single colour schemes look better than the multi colours ones
It's ok but not sure why you would try to replicate the original SP1. For starters it's not an SP1......It's an SP. Secondly I agree with others that the paint job doesn't quite suit the body styling, doesnt seem to fit properly........I do think it'll be nicer in the flesh. The standard SP/SP2 paint job is not exactly jaw dropping though is it? Honda could have done better...........wait for it....
