I live in the country. I look out a kitchen window to a garden where pigeons, collared doves, blackbirds, finches and robins nest. We have wrens in an out building, swallows under the car port, a pheasant nested in the side paddock, and are regularly visited by a wood pecker and numerous other birds including the occasional raptor. As a result I also see corvids come raiding and to my eyes that is nature. However when it is someone's livelyhood like lambs and chicken farms then that is a different story, and they should be allowed to protect their livelyhood, and not forgetting their livelyhood is part of our food chain.

So no threat to any live stock what so ever! There are eagles being shot over the the grouse Moore’s which are only bred for those who wish to shoot without the consideration the eagle was probably here a long time before? Pretty much any raptor is being targeted by the farmer because of it so called threat to his money I’m starting to think farmers are fricking ignorant pricks who think the world owes them. I’d like to shoot most farmers.
Let's not go down the reductio ad absurdum route. We were talking about the removal of the General License to shoot 16 specific bird species. This has nothing to do with the illegal shooting of other birds. If Packham and the hashtag crowd had thought this through they would realise that farmers will either get individual licenses to shoot these birds, or they will resort to other legal means such as poison.
Just looked him up Lozzy and like I said the do Gooder’s think the buzzards are lovely but they ate Prometheus liver
I play sax semi professionally in a band and gig about once a week. Have been playing sax for the last 25 years and love it and been in many different bands over the years, done some great gigs and played some fantastic venues too.
