aye, but without facebook, the internet, and, er, adult sites, I think I would have wanted to get a bike but wouldnt have had anyone to talk to about it, and wouldnt have had anyone to give me the shove into doing it. its a thing thats certainly changed things, and I went online in about 1995 iirc, in those days, it wasnt always there, you hung up on it and it couldnt contact you. Thats why i have my phone sounds and ringer turned off all the time.

gotta say, i always wanted a repsol, but when i passed DAS, i went to CMC with a big wad of cash, and fell in love with it, and loved it more than the newer HRC model, so I ended up buying a cheaper bike to get what i wanted. I'd call that a bargain. although, at the time, i was confused why the salesman was calling my tt legends bike a HRC, when it was clearly different to the newer HRC bikes. he also made me sit on a R1 and a GSXR, the R1 was more comfortable, the GSXR was less comfortable, but neither were the dream I'm incredibly proud of passing DAS, and the bike I own, i often start smiling just thinking about it
