    Hi all,

just returning to the forum after a while off bikes sold 2012 blade to buy house, so now back on a bike (R6) but was in Honda today looking at the deals on the sp2 am Soo tempted as I found my last blade very easy to live with and confidence inspiring. Is the SP2 worth the extra monies over standard ?

    Thanks all

Only if you're keen on keeping it and hoping it might improve its resale in coming years.

At present the bike offers nothing more than a fancy set of wheels and faux-carbon paint work. The 'revised heads' Honda promotes are only worthwhile if you're doing cams, compression and revised injection.

On the positive side, they look good and ride great, but offer no real value for the 5 or 6 grand over the 'basic' SP.:(

Agreed Nigel....... Standard SP is more than adequate and so is the standard blade for that matter!

2019 prices are around £19750 for sp and £22500 for sp2, so less than £3k more, not £5- £6k more Nigel...
But both look sweet :D and if £2750 is nothing to anyone then get the SP2, will hold it's value better I reckon :)

I chose to let that go, despite the use of my quote as a reference. True though, for some reason the SP has been tagged SP1 - even by dealers. I can't understand why so many use the unofficial moniker.
