    So little update:

The bike is beyond economical repair. Got an offer today of £4550. I argued my case and we agreed on a settlement of £4800 which is what I purchased the bike for so I lost my excess and a MOT cost in the year or so if owning her. All in all not a bad result.

As eager as I am to get a new bike I really need to wait as my finances are about to take a kicking.

Perhaps I won’t be on a bike this year :(

I reckon you did well there! On my searches I came across an absolute minter of an HRC RR07 with 12k miles and he wanted £5k for it. Another one with a couple of marks on it and 14k miles was £4500. Neither were prepared to budge on price.

I thought so. I was shocked when they offered £4550 as a start. I expected a figure around £3800 and a fight on my hands. Overall as far as a shit situation goes it’s not been too bad.
