I wanted to find out if you could get the original stickers on the swing arm? My one had been de-stickered and then non-original replacements put back on and i'd rather have it back to how it came out the factory.

For example mine being a Repsol it should have black Showa stickers on it but the only replacements I can see online are in red.

Is it possible to get it back to original?

Thanks, just had a look on their site and doesn't look like they do all of them and at least 1 of the warning stickers is a Honda non conforming part which i'm assuming means it isn't the same as an original part. And they are only the warning stickers nothing for the Repsol bikes such as Showa stickers.

The guy at my local dealership has been really helpful and explained quite a bit about stuff I didn't know about like how some Repsols will be dealers sending them off to Dream Machine to be done where they have had a number of one colour bike in stock they can't shift etc. I just assumed they all came out the factory as Repsols! Having both of us looked at images of rr5 Repsols all have the Unit ProLink stickers as does mine but not all have the black Showa stickers and he said this could have been a sticker pack provided with the bike that the customer could choose to put on or not. So it could be the only de-stickering of mine is the warning stickers as the Unit ProLink ones are still on it with then the added red aftermarket Showa ones put on at a later date.

He is contacting his contact at Honda Europe parts to see what he can find out about the black Showa stickers. He can get hold of the all the warning stickers mine is missing if I want them.

Sounds like great service from your dealer.

There are many instances of 'old' floor stock going to the likes of Dream Machine and other to be refreshed in BSB, HRC, and others. Sometimes a naive buyer might just be duped thinking he's purchased a factory special.:(

I dont think there's anything wrong with painting up a single colour bike in more popular paint job or a one off to shift it but agree with @nigelrb that the dealer should be upfront about it (however unlikely that is).

Sounds like you've got a good dealer there.

Thanks guys yeah the parts desk was great, it's the service desk who i've not been impressed with previously (my 2015 Repsol and it's corrosion on the engine casing and frame). Coincidentally since selling mine i've seen another 2015 Repsol with exactly the same frame mottling as mine had so there is clearly a weakness with them in terms of how fragile they are to the elements - one of the reasons i've gone back to an older Honda for the much better build quality (in my opinion).
