Always had the HM's but I'm 99.9% sure I'm getting one of these now. Only heard good things about them. Anyone had any issues? Are they as easy to install as they say? I won't be doing it but thinking of having it on at the same time they put new gold chain & tyres on...was just wondering how big a job labour cost wise...cheers http://www.superbikefreaks.com/translogic-quickshifter/
Definitely my preferred QS and the one I'd recommend to anyone looking for a quick shifter. You can feel it adjusting over the first ride or so. At first mine felt a bit lumpy but within no time it was buttery smooth through all gears and revs. Tech support was great too. Mine originally came off a zx10 so I needed to adjust the wiring very slightly to suit. Translogic helped me all the way and I even sent the unit to them for a cable repair.
Yeah mate...I think the plan was always to keep this as it''s perfect for all year round & comfy for touring and takes my motech panniers. So it's just compulsory unnecessary blinging as you do I fancied the sp as a 2nd summer fun job but now I'm spoilt for choice I can't make my mind up...I keep drooling over the tuono v4 factory but wouldn't have a clue with all the electronics lol
Unless you're doing track days, once you have a bike set up the electrics don't really need messing with - unless you change from town to windy road riding modes. I'm sure Di or even PauloHRC would convince you that they're no big deal.
Done a considerable amount of research on quick shifters, not pulled the trigger on one yet but if I do it’ll be the Translogic.
Only had translogic, got it because everyone who has one swears by it. Fitting wise very simple, it’s just getting to the coils for fitment.
Tell me, this is still the previous model QS4 or new IS4? https://www.motomummy.com/translogic/translogic-qs4-quickshifter/ The price is suspiciously low
Well ....considering I've managed to retire 10 years before everyone else because of my mega brain.... I think I'll manage Ho Ho Ho
Let the silky smooth changes commence End up going up and down the box for the fun of it. Looks trick too!
Just a bit of a shout out for HPS who I got it from...I rang yesterday and spoke to Giles the director. Lovely bloke happy to talk bikes and answer all my questions. Website easy to use. Notification of dispatch almost immediately after I'd ordered. Emails and texts with updates and despite me having it standard delivery it arrived today less than 24hrs after ordering. A delight to deal with them and I'll be doing so again https://www.bikehps.com/
Hmm...looks like I may be ordering another one off them I'm going to have look at another bike tomorrow Watch this space....I feel a new thread coming on.... Lozzys New #####
