what is it with them staring at you as you approach, then pulling out at the last minute?!? had it done to me once, on my 125, and you just get this gone out stare as they look at you trying to stop in time! im wary as fuck now when i see a car at a junction now, make lots of eye contact, but even so, cover the brake
Well, lets just say i had fun when i got home too. Its not sitting on the bike for 5 hours making me walk gingerly... But on a serious note, fuck me its great riding it. Never felt so generally good in i dont know how long.
I really enjoy the early morning runs, especially on the weekends. Getting out before all the frig heads is a bonus. I like to think I'm riding in a law-free area, but sure as hell I'm going to get nailed one day. Perhaps we all have that in the back of our mind. I mean, we can't be TRULY happy pottering about at 60 mph can we?
Got the thing fitted after a quick trip to a hardware store for a couple of bolts & washers! Also didn’t like how the chain guard looks like it grinds the carbon straight against the swingarm so fashioned myself a couple of top notch rubber washers from an old inner tube Edit: and question: do you chaps tend to loctite these various bits and pieces as you do them?
Did the inner tube thing myself a couple of weeks ago. Can't remember what for though! It's either the onset of dementia or too many bikes.
Rode it, cleaned it as so many bugs around at the moment and then fitted some Puig Sport Pegs. A good weekend bike wise
to be fair, im really not going that fast, but i know im not keeping to the 30s and 40s , and sometimes the 50s. I just slow down too much for the corners, but without cars behind me, i relaxed a bit to go faster. I went on some dual carriageways and felt much better on those too, although i can definitely turn right easier than i can turn left, noticeably. Its the same in the car, it actually starts making me feel sick. someone said to me to make a route and keep repeating it every time i go out, and i have done that, its from my place through alfreton (dont stop) matlock, ambergate and a load of small villages en route. wish i wasnt so anxious about everything. oh, i got a coffee at mcdonalds at 4.30 this morning, and a group of young women tried to take a photo of me, covertly, but they failed because they left the flash turned on... i could hear them mumbling about what i was wearing
i tend to use thread or studlock only if the bolt removed had it on it. im not keen on the chain guard on mine, seems rate flimsy
I reckon they might have wanted to make a move on you!! We do, but not with a 'Vans' sock. It's the sort of thing @bazzashadow would put on his BSA. There is a purpose behind them and that is that it prevents degradation of the brake fluid by sun light. Whether there is research stats on this I do not know, but you will see them on MotoGP and WSB bikes also.
well, if they were wanting to make a move, they were most definitely barking up the wrong tree. and in any case, one of them kept sniffing, so that would have had her kicked straight out of bed. I mean, whats wrong with a hanky!? i went with the vans, as im really just a simple country boy skater at heart - plus i have about 20 of them already
Oh.... 5 hours in the saddle followed by a rim job?? Severe case of mushy butt me thinks...... Hope you had a shower before hand!!
