hi been out today got home and decided to give the bike a really good clean , and just an excuse to try some new cleaning stuff out , right anyway used auto glym polar snow foam , then used surfex hd neat to give all the bike a clean with soft brushes , then used auto glym polar wash and hand washed it , rinsed and power dryed but i have noticed some of the matt black parts have a grey , white on them , so what have I done wrong and how do I get this back to just black . thanks for any help or advice .
Auto glym polar wash is still snow foam product if I remember rightly, it might just need another was with something that is Matte paint safe. I use AutoGlym Pure Shampoo. Edit - https://www.autoglym.com/polar-wash yeah, polar wash is indeed snow foam.
If you're on Facebook mate have a look at 'autobrite direct ltd' if you message them they will direct you to one of their products that will sort it. If they don't sell one they will know someone that does. Everything I've used of theirs has been awesome, they make and use the products themselves so know them inside out.
Done exactly the same as you on the weekend and just used a bit of wd40 to bring the black plastic back
I have noticed this a little bit on the bike but on the car is a nightmare, I thought I had found the answer with autoglym trim gel, But no I am not on Facebook so I will have to have a look somewhere else
For black plastic trims I highly recommend Autobright hellfire abusse paste. You will only need a small sample pot costing about £10. I use it on all he black plastic on my daughters mini and my Bm and never had a problem
As above https://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/p...--synthetic-paint-sealant-paste/ad-abysspaste That stuff will do plastics or Matt black paint so they've just told me, any paint or surface so it says on the description to it. Hope this helps
yes mines the same , I was thinking of having it painted red same as the bike but im not sure how it would look
I use this on my road bike (bicycle) that's got a matte paint finish. it just evaporates off after wiping and doesn't leave any residue. https://www.crankalicious.com/collections/protect/products/carboniferous?variant=31339348618 You can usually find it for about £7 for 500ml on cycle sites, don't know if it's any good for motorbikes, or for the plastics. I'm a Mr Sheene man for cleaning my motorbikes.
