Yeah that’s a big ding...the old roundabout at Elephant & Castle years ago ....accounts for the stupid amount of wheel weights needed
View attachment 54902 Installed my old SES rear sets and a new LeoVince LV Pro exhaust on the bike. It looks and sounds superb.
Yep, it looks absolutely tops- a cracking pipe that integrates superbly well with the lines of the bike.
Think I have had the last ride on this set of tyres OEM Dunlops with 3,661 miles on them, shame as they have plenty left on the edges Front has plenty of wear left so may get the fitter to leave it with me as "an oh shit got a puncture but no money" spare.
Fitted the little reserviour bracket that I've been whittling out of a piece of ally angle.to go with the RCS19(raided from the wee ZXR). Got lucky on ebay a few weeks ago. Goodridge braided separate hoses in black for twenty quid, only a couple of years old and barely scuffed. Calipers cleaned up well, still plenty of meat in the pads. Had to add an extra washer in the banjo stack. Everything bled nicely - feels good.
Took the bike out to loomies for a good thrashing! Popped in the bahnstormer bmw to have a gander at the new S1000RR looks to be the bike to beat again this year
Going to wait a few wks then have a test ride on a M sport one....even if tempted going to wait until next year as no doubt will have to wait a while then into winter , sat in garage wasting the warrenty away and with one of those you will need it already a recall ....not being a test rider want it to work out the box...I will have to think wow to get me off my sp.....
Watched a video the other day of a fresh out the box bike on the dyno producing 196 bhp and after talking to two blokes last week who took on Honda and won about there sp’s being miss sold!! It can’t be any worse than the Honda
New radiator fitted and filled. It's so big and shiny... ...and vunerable looking. Full size guard ordered.
The old one was already off so not long - about an hour and a half. That included taking off a bunch of the jubilee clips to work off some of the rust from their bolts and greasing them up. ...and a couple of wasted minutes looking for the bolt for the right hand top hanger(which doesn't have a bolt ) Had already painted the lower tank bracket. P.S. That doesn't include anything bodywork related. I've been transferring gubbins onto the replacement bodywork but it's not on the bike yet. Just the old foam bits left to glue onto the new panels and it'll be ready.. ...but I'll be doing the swinging arm linkage and tyres before the bodywork goes on.
After several years trying to convince myself that I don’t need a quick shifter I finally took the plunge. Translogic is4 fitted and of course the obligatory test run. When I got home I had to take a right good look at myself in the mirror and ask myself what age I am.
That same question is asked by many of us. Riding Blades is better than owning the Picture of Dorian Gray. (Okay, I know I'll lose most of you with that one!)
Amazing, works straight out the box and what a fantastic noise the bike now makes when changing gears. Happy days.
