I went out today and used mine for the 3rd time and it's even smoother if that's possible than the first and second time. But I understand that's the magic of the Intel bit It brings back that longing to get it back out of the garage 5 minutes after you've put it away
It brings back that longing to get it back out of the garage 5 minutes after you've put it away. Funnily enough that’s exactly what I did.
Had a good natter with the tyre fitter when he came to fit the new hoops. Learnt a fair bit about tyre removal and fitting, but admittedly from a low starting point. I pointed out the chinagraph line still on the front tyre, he showed me the lean angle I would have needed to scrub it off, basically you never would unless I had it horizontal. Currently sat drinking an expensive cup of lukewarm cat p*ss having done the first run/heat cycle. No moments but bike feels a bit taller which I guess is down to the profile and the fact the fitter set official tyre pressures which is a couple of psi higher than I normally run when solo.
My boy scrapped his cbr125 exhaust on the floor and I was going mad at him and his mum stuck up for him until I lent his bike over to show her how low he had gone He then got a slap
Finally got round to having a new set of boots on her, ended up going with some Dunlop D212 GP Pro's but also went from a 50 profile rear to a 55, what a difference the profile change has made, bike turns so much better now. Obligatory semi naked pic of the bike in mid fitting stance, got to love the ABBA stand.
No its at my mates house, he's a self employed bike mechanic and has a tyre fitting machine in the back of his van, saves me a bit of work taking loose wheels up to his, he just gives me the tools and lets me crack on then he removes and the old ones and refits them.
Great to have such a helpful mate! Agree, the ABBA stand is essential for major works. Speaking of major works, what's the deal with the back to front Honda tank badge. The wing is supposed to face forward? Chinese?
I'm broken. The blade has killed me, 596 miles today and one very numb bum. Not kissed a beat though, and averaged around 38 MPG.
@nigelrb You are the personification of the Eagle Eye version of Action Man Edit - but looks like you missed it previously @nigelrb https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/new-member-first-blade.35807/ I’m just glad for his sake that ABS is only a sticker and not actually a feature of the bike
Oh yeah got a Honda eComfort seat, but it's still a hell of a way. Agree with @F1CT1C10U5 there is only so much you can do for comfort...
