Depends on the bike! My mates 07 will run out of fuel 30miles or more before mine does and we are both going roughly the same speed

No need to sulk! I was using the US Gallon not the Imperial one, so it works out at about 47 to the gallon on Autobhan use...so how the hell you are getting 47 around normal riding, you need to go sulk ;)

Are the ABS models really that bad? I've heard that bleeding them can be a pain in the ar$e

You might think you've sprung me, Boothy, but no. @ninjagogo 's first words were : '. . . be gentle with me.'

I chose to honour that in respect of forum camaraderie. However, now that ninja has been around for a while I can revert to my true self and be a complete bastard!:D:D

Abba appreciation going on here too. (now there's a phrase I never expected to ever type in my life :) ) Wheels in for fresh rubber. Cleaned up the swinging arm and got the sidestand off for a lick of paint.
    Shock linkage next,.

Love the 'pop up' workshop. I do similar on my front car park.

Loving the finesse of the beer can as a stand leveller:). Definitely thinking outside the square!

If you get super enthused, give the headers a dose of Harpic Black. They'll come up brilliant. (Pic is my 2011 before I Castrolised it)

The exhaust was my "gotta draw a line somewhere" item. It's been screaming out for a tidy up but this session is supposed to be about getting it on the road. :)
I'll crack open the flap cover and check it's working ok.
..but the cleanup is staying on the todo list.
...along with fresh fork stanchions. There are a few little pits that I'll polish down and see how they go..
....but yeah - fresh stanchions will be on the cards before long methinks.

When you change tyre profile size, why is it only done on the rear? (genuine question BTW - not being sarcy)

No idea mate. Metzeler only offer 120 70 for this tyre in 17 inch wheel size.

A completely uneducated guess is that as the front is already a 70 profile there is no need as it will already be quicker to tip in and just be restricted by the rear.

Love the way they come in a box without the 270 metres of plastic strip wrapping!
