Some of you know that I had had a serious health issue a while ago and I’m very happy to report that today was my last check up at The Christie in Manchester. I’m officially 5 years in remission and, whilst they never discharge you, am now classed as ‘Off The Books’ I’ll not get all loved up, but the biggest Thank You to the NHS and all the people who have looked after me right from hearing the first mention of cancer to now. I consider myself very lucky
Thanks @bazzashadow unfortunately working today but I’ll be finishing early and out later. I’m hoping that the ride out gets lined up for tomorrow and/or Sunday as its looking to be a fine weekend.
As much as the NHS is stretched and under funded it’s an excellent organisation, glad to hear you’ve got the green light
I felt that everyone involved at The Christie hospital in Manchester was 100% focused on doing their job to the very best of their ability - from the cleaner to the consultant professor. I can never thank them enough.
hi don,t know you or many others on here, but congratulations on your news,i have a grand daughter who was born with some serious complications and struggles on a daily basis, the care offered to her from the Birmingham Children's Hospital is superb and i too commend what a wonderful thing the NHS is
Hey Boothy, I know this is a sensitive issue, and I am still trying to adapt to being a sensitive guy, but if you did meet an unfortunate relapse, would you keep me in mind for your bike?
Hey @nigelrb, got to thinking last night as a reciprocal arrangement - now you’re knocking on a bit - what about leaving me one of your bikes. I’d be pleased to receive any one of the 8 in your fleet
