today I went to look at a new bike well new to me,I’d never been to the town I was going to but had a rough idea where I needed to be,I’m old school so don’t do sat nav so it’s sun, moon and occasionally a map, isn’t half the fun finding your way around, anyhow I’m pulled up at the side of the road just getting my bearings when a guy in an Audi pulls along side and asks if I’ve broken down and did I need any help, told him I was just sussing out where I needed to be,he asked where I was going so I told him the place and without hesitation said he knew where it was and that if I followed him he’d take me there, followed him for about 5 minutes and true to his word got me right to the door,I thanked him and offered to buy him coffee or some cash for fuel but no wouldn’t take it just shook my hand and drove off, faith in humanity now restored.
Great story and indeed there are some decent human beings around! As a side issue, I'd have offered to buy him a beer instead. The offer of coffee and cash may have scared him off

What! Key makes you sore! what you been doing with it mate?[/QUOTE] Christ Simon I'm really hoping he's going to say ferreting out his ear wax rather than owt else southwards
Small acts of kindness like this often inspire people to do the same.... and if it spread....what a much nicer world we would live in
We came back from a ride out couple of years ago when Carl got a rear puncture, we made it to a garage, no chance of repair there, however a guy who was getting fuel and heading off to Cadwell for a TD next day came over to see if he could help, he took his bike of his trailer, put Carls bike on and took him and bike 15 miles back to Carls house while we watched over his bike until his return. So yes, there are still a few good people out there
Well. That certainly took the smile off my face. I reckon I'd top myself before having to use one of those things.
