What year have you got as if you have a 17/18 changing sprockets sizes will have a negative affect on certain electronics on your bike

116 links and stated to fit, tbh i haven’t fitted yet, going for tyres next mth so will fit then. The sprockets on and even at +1 its fine with the electrics and made a slight diff but not a lot to performance

That's very interesting given the lengthy discussions about error codes etc. I wonder if the effects on, say, traction control and ABS might not be noticed unless the bike was really put under severe stresses? Any observation of negative effects?

Be very careful with your down blipper, it seems fine for ex amount of miles and then it will decide to stop working all together, you will get just a line come up on gear selection screen. Traction control is a lot harder to feel unless your at a certain limit on corner exit loading up,

Had as hard a ride as i will prob give it on Friday on 170 miles without fault so will see how it goes. Couldn't really say that noticeable difference, traction on 3 was noticeable on acceleration, (lots of winding Yorkshire B roads with the odd bit of gravel to surprise you) maybe my head but poss more than normal but back tyre is prob 2/3 worn, hard to say but on 2 i couldnt feel it kicking in. Down blipper was fine and it got a bit of use, no dash issue etc

Now you have me paranoid but couldnt find a Renthal 525 43T to fit.

The way I can explain it is like someone putting the back brake on coming out of the corner, feels like the bike has a massive flat spot on the throttle, this is on track mind so not sure wether I could get it to do it on road conditions myself. Blipper wise almost put money on having no gears every session, this is with 3 2018 bikes all riding together

chain and sprocket fitted today , but im a bit paranoid on the flaring of the link , ive done it but when I checked they where faired to 5.5mm but according to the did chain site for my chain it should be 5.7mm - 6.0mm , and ive done it as tight as I can and my chain tool just slackened off , it doesn't look like ive trashed them but any help would be great , thanks.
