Yep I thought I'd try a @nigelrb #30milesaresuper today....and I have to say it's jolly splendid. I've stopped half way as per nige and bought the Times to peruse with ones coffee... AND also because it's got our bloody amazing cricket win on the front I don't watch cricket but I came home yesterday and caught the last half hour...I couldn't believe what I was seeing....fantastic...and great to watch a little piece of history live I was quite envious of the crowd I bet there's some sore heads today A big well done lads
Ah, this from a lady with a 'POLITE' jacket hanging over the seat. But I am glad Loz, that you've been able to discover the joys of the 'compromised' run. And to invent another analogy since you've chosen to introduce cricket; 'It's not about the run chase - it's about the score at the end!'
It's brilliant mate so cool in the heat too. Mega comfy...good vision...quiet enough with my ear plugs in..can't fault it.... I've already walked into the top of the roll top doors with it on hahaha so it's getting battered already....
He was an advanced riding instructor Nige...I asked him if he did discounts for pensioners to maybe help you get the confidence to venture out of your Midlands30
In all seriousness @nigelrb have you not considered getting a bike trailer? With the number of bikes you have / change wouldn’t you save money doing your own collections, have the buying edge that you could deliver the ones you sell and be able to venture further afield to enjoy a 30 mile run out up north, down south, wherever?
A very sensible suggestion. Only problem is Nigel has a C1 and so would struggle to pull the proverbial skin off the custard let alone 200kg+ of bike and trailer. Plugging a tailboard in would probably cause too much power drain and stop the car getting to over 10mph
I rent a van at economical rates. However, my frenzied buying is over. I'm happy with my lot, especially of I can score the indescribable Triumph I've put a deposit on and also look further to the 2020 Blade. As previously stated, if it's just another two white stripes, I shal not bother. Nor, dare I suggest, would a great deal of the Honda devotees. Yep, it's not overburdened with power, but as it's a 3-cylinder 120 degree firing order, I could bang an Arrow on it and it'd sound just like a Moto 2 bike and I wouldn't then need the Triumph!!
I took the Repsol out Sunday for a Nige-inspired #30milesaresuper but it turned into a #200milesarebetter knee dragging session when I came across some friends heading to a bikini bike wash in NYC. One day I will do the #30milesaresuper in honour of our great mate @nigelrb
Brilliant will do.... Just gotta work on a few bits first Although I guess it's somewhere to wedge me chamois leather while I do the rinsing
