I have been looking for a new jacket but I’m having trouble because either they stock the wrong make or wrong size I went in one today that I had checked on the Internet so I already knew my first question “Hi are you a held dealer” “Yes, what did you want” “A jacket” “Let’s look in the catalogue “ Now I have already done that but needed to see it and try it on My question is Is there any shops that stock everything in store that they advertise on the internet? We do have infinity in Norwich that advertise everything but stock nothing in comparison.
Sportsbikeshop near Boston it's huge and has everything possible you could want in stock and ready to try on
If you go online and check out what you want it will show if in stock if you click on it. Tbh Bazza they do free returns and are fantastic so if I were you I'd just order it if you see what you like and if it's no good send it back. They'll happily send you the next size if that an issue. I've had loads of stuff off them they're great. Happy to help if you ring them too
If it shows in stock on the day and you visit personally they fetch anything you need into the shop from the adjoining warehouse
Thanks Lozzy I really would like to try on before sending for anything. I did buy a helmet from these and you are right, free returns I might have to give them a look Thank you
Only thing to check is that they show stock for all stores. If there is something specific you want contact them online and check they have it at Boston. As it is their main warehouse they probably will but it's worth checking first if it is the only reason you are travelling.
It's like Argos, it's amazing. Little iPads that have the catalogue on them, put in what you want, your name and they just bring it out to you. Don't like it, put it back on the counter and order another one. (You dont pay for anything until you are happy) it shocks me the level of trust.
Never been there in person, but shop on their website for about 90% of my kit. When I have returned items from Ireland, they have still covered postage when the item was defective. Damn great prices too, so I'm with Lozzy in giving sportsbikeshop.co.uk a big thumbs up!
Recently bought my Dainese full metal 6,gloves from them online great service came the next day. Normally like to try everything on but Cresent where i have always bought all my kit from have switched from Dainese to Alpinestars only after about 12yrs ior so....gutted...so online it is from now..
My simple answer is NO! Generally the stores don't have the storage space of the central warehouse You can contact the shop for stock availability and ask if they can bring it in for you to try
When I bought my Dainese super speed jacket, I had to go to Manhattan to try one on. But if I am spending $900 on a jacket, I want to try it on first!
If I were spending $900 on a jacket I would want it delivered by a personal shopper who would help me try it on!!
Bloody hell, what would you expect for a $3000 race suit? lol All I got was a handshake and a free undersuit.
I try to use my local shop for gear as much as possible. I use online shops mainly for bike parts and other smaller stuff that I know will fit me. I use Infinity Motorcycles in Glasgow. I bought my RST boots there, Forcefield back protector, two pairs of bullit jeans, Arai lid, Knox gloves. I also used a previous shop (no longer in business) to purchase my textile suit, a Dainese 2 piece leather suit, 1 piece Revit suit, RST TT Wax Jacket, Shark lid, Alpinestars 365 gloves, Sidi Mag 1 boots. They also do a really good club card points system, where effectively you get a cash discount voucher to use in store at the end of each month. So far I have £30 in vouchers to spend.
