While not wanting to get you into any 'trouble' if you get my drift...you need to trap on a bit more in the parts where it's ok to do it. If a car decide's to do the same and gets annoying like that one then just overtake a load of cars and leave them stuck way back behind.
I use those roads a lot and always make 'progress' which is what you need to aim to do.
Have you thought of taking one of those short advanced riding courses...it'll give you loads more confidence and really help :)

Sounds like you definitely need to build confidence.
I hardly ever sit behind cars, I am literally always overtaking.
Defensive riding is a term I heard on my training many years ago...basically hog the road and don’t take no sh*t from cagers, you have to try and anticipate the idiotic move that is open to them and get yourself positioned so that it can’t affect you, either overtaking, dropping back/left/right or whatever.
Take Lozzy’s advice and look at an advance course or maybe bike safe run by your local fire/police service (both do them in London).

Ur probably right but i wssnt sitting behind, i was progressing with the traffic at the speed limit. I could have overtaken but would have been speeding quite a lot. At lights in general, ill ride to the front when there is room, its just getting used to being able to do it because its obviously totally different to being in a car and i just forget that i can sometimes

Got my first IAM email through today, signed up for free as I was under 30 at the time. A years membership after the course completed for free, should be £149. Hopefully reduce premiums even more :)

Test fitted my new to me genuine ten Kate racing carbon tank cover.
Can’t wait to get it sprayed/wrapped as it totally changes the look of the bike.

No not higher, it’s squares off and longer where the original rounds off.

I adjusted the chain and cleaned it, sorted some mis-aligned fairings and wiring, and went out this morning to get lost as usual

well, i did quite like it, but i did have to go and read the badge to see what it was lol

there were quite a few bikes there, couple of fireblades, one the same age as mineish, and an old one with two round headlights, plus one that looked like a fireblade but wasnt something beginning with a V

im just glad I managed to set off out of that layby without stalling, and I managed to make it sound nice too lol

I know, it was chance too. I went to SMC to buy a different one, and they had that on the shelf, last one, not my size, but it was reduced loads, so i tried it on and it fits perfectly!

I just liked the look of the colours mostly, didnt think about it matching the bike, and one day, ill find out who bradley wiggings is.

I do have a pic of me sat on the bike with my leathers on, and i do look pretty good, but it starts straying into the realm of soft porn its that erotic lol

Sometimes things happen for a reason ...... not the one you were looking for, not your thought for the size you needed but you tried it anyway and it fits as it should looks great with the bike and was a bargain. What’s not to like. Well done and post the pick of you on the bike unless there’s something you don’t want to share or you know that backless leather chaps contravene forum rules :D:D:D

ok, some pics. Its when i first got it, i wanted to know what i looked like riding it, size wise, hence the positions. I am slightly alarmed looking at them though, because I hadnt realised just how fat i was

the leathers dont fit me anymore, and are quite baggy. my old RST trousers are like clown pants and need braces to keep them up 20190101_152534.jpg 20190101_152814.jpg 20190101_152856.jpg

Third shot shows off the lid/bike well - can’t comment about weight myself. As everyone knows from my suspension set up at KAIS I’m pushing acceptable for the rear spring :D
