https://www.gumtree.com/p/honda-motorbikes/reduced-honda-cbr1000rr-fireblade-2009/1342026071 Gutted to have to sell but needs must I'm afraid. Please point people in my direction Lee
Am I experiencing déjà vu; was this advertised some months back? Regardless, good price for a 2009. Shame is sales are slow at the mo.
Hi Nigel, yeah it was but got no interest. Posted again at a reduced price to get it shifted (fingers crossed)
I am in the same position with my 2011, although I listed far too high a price. Our problem is: 'How low is too low?' We don't want to take a hard hit, but at the same time we need to move the bike on and venture to whatever pastures we're headed. I'm tossing up about a no reserve auction, but wouldn't want to see me committed to a say, a £3700 winning bid. Not sure how I'd stand legally if I pulled the pin, but I haven't fully explored eBay's T & Cs for that.
If it doesn’t make what you want in the last hours just pull it off saying it’s been damaged? naughty but it happens. You could state for sale elsewhere so maybe removed at any time? covers your back if your not happy.
Got a serious £5000 offer last night. I knocked it back, but I'm feeling that's about the right market place for a 20,000 miler. The reason I've posted on this thread is to reinforce that Lee's price is good for that particular bike.
Cheers Nigel. The only thing I can put it down to is that it's half way through summer and maybe black is less popular than say Repsol or other liveries.
I guess that's tongue-in-cheek. I have always liked black with gold wheels, but I think Lee might be on the mark that black might be 'less preferred' than others. Ironically, my yet to come to life Daytona, will be black. Will start on poll on the acceptance of black bikes - will be interesting!
Yes, I was trying to be humorous, not racist. It’s each to their own, personal taste by its very nature must be one of if not the most diverse thing on earth. But you’ve got to think Mr Honda knows a thing or two about business and if they didn't sell they wouldn’t make them.
You know, I never even considered it in a racist context because I am probably the most politically correct member on the forum. I thought it was merely because you had a black bike and were being over-protective!!
Another black blade owner I don’t need to shout with loud colours that my bike is based on a racing machine. I prefer the stealth look The Patrick Furstenhoff (original ghost rider) look is fine and before anyone pipes up i know his preferred ride was a GSXR but we’re not all perfect
