Would you buy a Black Bike?

The question was raised in another thread. Might be interesting to learn the percentage of black bike Vs other liveries.

 

Slight problem here Nigel as really you need to list the other colours separately in order for it to be a correct statistical analysis

 

No Loz, it's clearly black versus other colours.

These things really have to be aimed for the simplest answer; one either has a preference for black (as you well know) or they don't.

 

If there is a 2020 Repsol SP2, it will be in my garage.

 

Had a few black bikes.. look stunning when clean in summer but you need to keep on top of the tank scratches

Id buy black where poss, nothing better when cleaned and polished

 

Black is for hearses, But like said can look nice when just cleaned, I would not buy one. also less likely to be seen by other road users on the road

 

How about bought a repsol, and turned it into a matte black....

I think it depends on the bike. Both my Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer and 2017 CBR650F look great in black (gloss and matte respectively) but I don't think an RR6/7 would look as good. Not sure why...!

Just looked at my RR4. I reckon it would look a real hornbag in black/gold.

 

Well if you’re talking about adding *GOLD* to the black then that’s a whole other thing

 

My first blade was Black.
I liked it as I did the others.
I would not buy a livery (eg Repsol et al)

I liked my Repsol too, it was the ABS that forced the change, but I equally like the black edition scheme
