I guess future resale value will depend on exactly what the spec is and whether Triumph start building the Daytona 765 (non Moto2 version) later..Anyway, if I do get one, I’ll have to ride it - wouldn’t be able to resist the temptation. The 675R is a great bike still and no slouch, so I’m looking forward to learning more on the 23rd August.
15.5K yep that will do, I think it will be a great bike if its got the mix of the 675R and the new street triple RS, I loved my 675R and my current trackbike street triple RS is amazing on track so it can only be good. Investment not so sure on that one all though there is 2nd hand Daytona 675R models holding good money on ebay and I have seen 2 year old RS models for not a lot less than I paid for mine brand new in November. Hope It don't drop in value like my 2018 SP still makes me come over all funny thinking of them dealers who offered me 10k for it .
Agreed, price is ok. As for depreciation I guess that depends on what Triumph decides (or has already decided) to do about reviving the Daytona. Can’t wait to get the spec list.
Can’t see it they sold something like 30 Daytona’s in 2016 a special is always going to sell if they bring out a new Daytona bog standard what can the price be 11k max. Not that bothered if they bring a new 765 R model out might make me sell the RS and buy the new 765R as my track bike
15.5k for a mid power bike when the naked is under 10k with Ohlins and Brembos? It'll need something special to make it worth it, not saying it won't be good just that the price seems high with so little detail available.
I’m eagerly awaiting more news on the spec. Hoping for lots of super light carbon fibre and a few toys to make it stand out. Just having to contain my excitement and also working on why I need one of these as well as a blade..
I had several test rides on the Daytona 675R which I found to have lots of low down acceleration compared to my 2014 CBR600RR. If the new bike is only a little better than that (which I hope it will be plus a bit more), then I think it'll be a great light weight machine to chuck around corners without needing to have the muscles required to do so on an older model blade.
I think you'll be on safe ground with the street triple RS mate, I've not heard anyone have a bad word about it. Get yourself our for a ride!
Count me in on that factory tour - would be a good way to learn more about our special Daytona’s they’re going to build for us
Real shame not built here it would be great to see it roll off the production line meet the people that have worked in it and ride it away from the factory proudly with a very small Union Jack etched on the yoke...there again it wouldn't be 15k.....
