I love the hm plant on this shape. I'd love it a lot more if the fairing wasent stonechipped and tank scuffed but I'll sort that in time. I like a race rep paint job on the correct bike and year ect .
Trouble is Nige all the black owners are pinning bacon rashers to the side fairings so when they have a stop they can crack an egg onto the tank and have a bacon and egg buttie, Black is looking better all the time
Oh no I fry mine on the underside of the seat cowl when I've parked up . Pissing mushrooms and tomatoes make a right mess of the mesh.
That's fine and shows that the topic received good interest. No matter the colour preference, when 'controversial' topics are introduced into the forum, it is good for all. Oh yeah, and I drive a black 'alleged' car!
The leftwing loonies would label this thread as racist. Perhaps "Bikes of Colour" is more to their approval but that would be misleading) To answer the question, black bikes can look good when clean but I wouldn't choose one mostly, but different model bikes look good in different colours, all Ducati's should be red, all Kawasaki green or green & black, Suzuki's blue & White. I think that all black, or all white can look shabby quicker unless you put more time into the cleaning and aftercare, which I won't do.
Completely agree re the black...I hate cleaning them so worst colour I could have got I've given up bothering now and squint when I walk towards it which makes it blurry and then once I'm on it I cant see the 3 million fly's and crude anyhow so sorted lol
I agree nigel so why so many people don’t like to all the girls I loved before is beyond me It is like a TV if you don’t like what you see turn it off. Or in this case don’t click on it
On the plus side, I have had adv bikes that I would never wash throughout the winter and the bikes looked more badass encrusted in mud))
I'd buy a black bike but not a black Fireblade. Something like a ZZR1100 in anything other than black is not right in my eyes, a Blade needs a bit of colour.
I see a bike as good for a nice summer day, it keeps it clean, you know the tyres will grip, then when you get home you just have to clean those pesky flies off, I take my hat off to the winter riders, but why
I drive in the winter for the same reason I drive at speed, because I can)) Actually adv bikes can be good fun in winter on dirty backroads off the beaten track
I have always wanted to go off road in the winter, maybe not with the cbr but whilst my bike season finishes in oct and starts in apr, I feel am missing out on so much but need to do some homework
I can confirm you can commute on a blade in winter on racetecs but it does spin up alot. Heated grips a god send and good quality textiles and its still better than being stuck in traffic getting in and out of leeds .
