Regardless of our attempts at humor, the choice is completely yours. What I like may be disgusting to someone else,. if you like them and they suit your need, get them!
I already have them haha, the picture is them on my bike. I think the fact I asked for opinions tells me everything.
I am not impartial to the black finish myself. Since functionality is not involved, then it is purely subjective & a matter of taste. For me I would go for a contrasting finish if the rest of the bike was a single color (like the sps' black bike, it also help finding the control in the dark). But on my yellow bike, black would work well with the black metal & rubber/ plastic fittings
In the words of John McEnroe: 'You cannot be serious!' By your analysis, that would mean it is easier to undo a gold bra in the dark than a black one. Just as our bike, we go by feel and not the damn colour of the object!!
We teach our students to not look at the controls when they are learning. Muscle memory takes over when you ride, as it should. My levers could be swapped out for flaming pink pieces with rainbow penises on them and I would never notice unless you pointed it out to me.
Just gonna lob in my tuppence worth... I bought damned near identical levers. Now, please bear in mind I do have a chavy side, I like a bit of gold bling, gold wheels, bar ends, and so went for the levers too. Must admit, they lasted about a week and I went back to the standard factory ones, I think they were just a bit too bright gold. Might have worked if they were a dull or brushed finish. I'm now tempted by some white ones I've spotted.....
asv's ...always black, even coloured red adjuster black on mine...c5 versions...that is all...and yes my standard exhaust is a bit nancy
Ah, now, I disagree a bit there... I actually really like the standard looking pipe, I think its nice. My only issue is the fact that the 08 didn't have the black "cover" on the bottom part and the bare metal plate went rusty to hell and looked awful. If it wasn't for that, I think I would have kept it.
yeah ya right...the cover was silver when i got the bike...as was the rear brake bracket and rear pegs..sprayed em with high temp spray
Chatsworth House That estate road was a chippings nightmare a few weeks ago so I've avoided it...I take it its bedded in now @stevet ?
