So managed to put 100 miles on my new blade (05) .. Figured i need to adjust the play in the throttle, get rear sets ( who is the rear brake made for ?) 1st gear is way too long, And im never gunna scrub out a 190 rear tyre Apart from that what a fantastic bike !
Huh? What height are you? Never heard of a brake pedal prob before. Many drop the front sprocket a tooth to undergear the bike. Might be worth you considering.
Yep .. i was thinking of going 1 down on the front, or 2 up on the rear, i will look at it whwwn i have to replace the chain, what do you guys use to recalibrate the speedo ? .. i used to use speedo healer ( just a plug in box) As for my height, well im 5'10" abd a 32" leg, all standard stuff really ... cant believe none else has issue with the brake pedal .. we are talking about the rear. ... i wonder if it is bent then .. ill take a pic later.
Same height and leg length and no issues with rear brake...pop a pic up I did have to adjust the gilles rearsets on my current one as the previous owners settings made the brake awkward to use so maybe like you say there's an issue with yours.
Ops . Sorry for the double pic. Still getting used to this. Definitely some action on that brake pedal
I bought a bike where it looked like someone took a grinder to the side of it, you couldn't actually see a clear bend on it but you could feel it was just not sitting in its place when you put your food there. On changing the whole food assembly it was perfect, maybe you may need to do the same
Yeah, agree. I tried balancing a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and large fries on my brake pedal. Hell of a job!!
@nigelrb owns the "West Midlands Motorcycling Museum and Cat Cushion Market". Have you never been? Worth a stop if you're ever in the area.
I’ve seen his collection he posted up a while back, it’s very impressive maybe he should buy his next door neighbors house and knock through, could make a nice showroom for his bikes
Won't be necessary. They're renters, and the ruckus that goes on in there at times makes me think that THEY will knock through the damn wall. And we're talking new build as well, so it's not as if they're paper thin walls. But, erm, not too thin for the old glass-on-the-wall trick to satisfy my voyeuristic tendencies.
